all you need is an animation software like Unfreez or animation shop 3(for example).
animation is basically a sucesive amount of still images or frames, show one after the other to create the ilusion of movement. so all you need is draw every frame, put it one after the other on your animation program, and then save it as a gif.
its easier than it sounds.
