aww thanks for your thanks! xD All three of the comments I made on that news article have been hidden now... and all of them were quite reasonable and non-inflammatory in their wording. It's unfortunate that someone would write a news article against denying freedom of expression, and then hide all the comments on it exercising that exact right...

Yeah, mine have, too. It really was hypocritical of him to do so, and I made the point in my response from yesterday which he hid because it went against what he had to say. (Although mine weren't so...nice; quite blunt and to the point, actually. )

I don't get him. He is acting like a child for no reason.

yeah, some people just don't seem to grow up... but I noticed he un-hid some of the comments later, including several of mine... maybe he thought about what we said and saw things differently after while. I sure hope so!

I thought your response was quite reasonable even while being blunt, it wasn't a personal attack at all, and any mature person would be able to address it civilly even if he disagreed with what you were saying. "mature" being the operative word here :/

Hey, I checked out your entry, I really like the way you did the lighting effects on the red glowing parts, that's really awesome. It's a cool idea too. I feel like the nice detailing you put in the top of the image kind of didn't get put into the bottom skirt part but other than that it's nice

I didn't get time to make an entry although I wanted to... it just really made me angry that some people were targeting the artists who got into the semi-finals with hurtful insults even though they did nothing wrong. I felt like I had to say something

yeah I haven't seen the movie yet either so I couldn't say... I can't wait to see it though. It might actually be better that you didn't see the movie first because it allowed you to come with a really creative design.

What do they think this is, some sort of engineering contest? Last time I checked, dA was an art site, not a robotics site.

You met all the requirements and fairly submitted your entry like everyone else. Your sculpture is amazing and definitely deserves its position in the top 25 finalists. Most of them are just jealous because they lost...

Good luck on getting 1st place, but I'm sure you don't need it!
