I have an Inner Marluxia who hates the nickname Marly. It's so unsophisticated and stuff, I guess. But I've introduced myself as Marla Nectarson before. No one ever seems to get the joke.

Also, in my writing class, the prof takes nicknames for his students. I wanted to say "Marleigh," which is pronounced the same as Marly, but I ended up spelling it MARLI. I could swear three people giggled.

haha, yeah, I have class with some of my dorkier friends so when I asked the teacher to call me Marly, giggles erupted, then the poor other students either pretended to know the joke or just sat there looking sad. XD

And just think. This was AFTER I had my hair lengthened and dyed back to its natural color and stopped wearing my hooded cloak. Imagine the reaction I would have gotten if I'd still had short strawberryish hair and wearing a black hooded cloak!
