It's made even worse when not only is almost every word they use incorrect, but if they tried to write a book, the first editor would laugh in their face and offer to burn it in their fireplace for them. Why? Because length does not equal intelligence or quality. It's actually the opposite; though you need a good amount of description, keep it concise and to the point so your readers can follow. Lengthy sentences make for horrible pacing. And, yeah, I get that they're roleplaying not writing a book, but you need to know the basics of writing to do so. And these "anat" roleplayers are trying to seem advanced, when I believe advanced roleplaying means being a good writer. It has nothing to do with looking flashy and using nonexistent words.

a majority of the time, i use "basic" or "normal" words, but that's doesn't mean i'm stupid.
you can get the same point across by using both fancy and basic words.
