Haa, me too! Well I love Thursdays because I have ICT, Chemistry and (on alternate weeks) Biology; which are my three favourite subjects, so I always try and make it in for Thursdays! Sadly today I had to leave at the end of lunch though because I felt so ill, and I'm going to be off tomorrow morning as well. But tomorrow the whole school gets the afternoon off because it's our Open Morning on Saturday and we all have to go in, so they think it's kinder if they give us the afternoon off. However I have to go in and do a scholarship exam for my school's sixth form because I want to try and help my parent's with the fees, and if I get it then there could be up to a 50% discount on it!

Ahh, no problem, it's Information and Communication Technology, basically where we learn how to be computer literate

Ah, no just that one Saturday. It was Open Morning for the Senior school, so we all had to go in to show parents around the school and put on demonstrations. It's basically the time when parents and future students come to look at the school and find out if they want to go there or not.

Well I can't say the exam went too well, there was a maths part of it, and maths is NOT my strong point! Even if I do somehow pass the exam I have to go to all these interviews and such, so I doubt I'll get it, but it was worth a try anyway Thank you

Yeah, but they tend to just teach us course like how to create and use a database and spreadsheet, how to make a website, how to do flash animations and all that stuff, the only thing that really changes is the software that we do it on.

My friend goes to boarding school so he has school on Saturdays, but then he gets loads of free periods where he can go back to the dorms and play mario kart wii and such. Apparently in his economics class today he got to watch the Apprentice and eat chocolate. The lucky beggar.

Lol Here's hoping they do! I'll make sure to do that when I find it out, I'll very subtley ask the interviewer "You know, phones are cool. I have a phone. It's cool because phones are, well, cool. Do you have a phone? If you have a phone, does that mean you have a phone number? Phone numbers are cool too. If you have one then that means you are cool. But I'm afraid some numbers are just not cool. So I will have to hear yours just to check how cool it really is." And I'm sure because of the flattery of me telling them that they are cool by relation will definitely work and get it out of them.

Yes, you're right.. it's the ideas and the process to
get those ideas 'out there' that's important.. the
technology is the means to the end, isn't it? Like
learning to paint, once you get over the technical
stuff like paint dries.. some faster than others..
and how you put it on doesn't matter.. throwing it,
brushing it, flicking it, sliding on it.. it all
comes back to the idea.. vision. So it really doesn't
matter if it's using flip cards or drawing on cells o
r using flash for animation.. same deal.

I've never envied someone who went to boarding school..
maybe sometimes like you say, but the whole idea of
LIVING at school puts me right off! Or maybe like one
of those alternate schools where you can choose what
you want to learn and when.. that sounds ok

if you can convince them that you're really set on doing
'something' at the end of it, you'll get it. That 'something'
is something that only you know.. now.. but they'll need to
know.. then.. if that makes sense. I don't mean to be a doctor
or a lawyer and the only thing that'll make that happen is
getting a scholarship.. but something that you're interested in..
love.. that can make a difference.. yes? no?

Hello! I'm so so so sorry for the late reply that just renders me rude, but I had exams October, December, January (more to come May and June) and then I gave up deviantART for Lent I won't be doing that again. Anyway, I apologise for the insanely late reply. But I shall reply nonetheless!

I agree with you there, I think that concept is the basis of any creative project, and that it always comes back down that base concept in the end, no matter what the outcome of the project actually is.

I think I envy them because *hides face* I actually like school. Or rather, my teachers and my friends make it enjoyable, and because I'll be doing A-Levels next year, I would be doing subjects that I really enjoy, rather than having to do German and English etc. Alternate schools? I. MUST. FIND. ONE. AND. GO. THERE. They sound epic!

Yes I think it can make a difference! I think if you're dedicated to something then you're more likely to want to do well so you put more effort into it, and, hopefully, in the end it all pays off and you come out with good results!

of a community at school and that's great! What subjects will you choose?

I tend to say "Thank you so much for the favourite!! " and then they'll say "You're Welcome" then I'll say "" and that'll be the end of it, but if they say something like "You're welcome, it's a really good shot" or something I end up saying thanks again and then they have to repeat themselves and it just gets confusing after a while!
