summer has been unproductive? I thought I had a lab position here at UO since they let me go to the orientation meeting. But it appears like no graduate student wants to take on the project so there is no work for me.

I didn't do well on my MCAT's so I'm not going to apply this year. I'll probably retake again in the spring? Or I might just go back to Taiwan and go to cram school for my physical sciences cause that score was just dismal....and take my MCATs again in September.

Yeah, not much else except that I'm wallowing in self-pity....

I'm so sorry to hear Grace *HUGS* I can totally understand the frustration that comes with not getting the score you like on the MCAT - but don't give up!! There are so many people who retake it and often do tons better second time around. Did you take a MCAT course originally or did you study on your own? I think focusing on the one part that you have trouble with is the best move Ugh research can be so frustrating at times, you depend on the grad students but they're also too busy so they can't expect to be there to support you *sighs* Maybe in the meantime you can try some doctor shadowing if you haven't done a lot yet? It's helpful experience to have when applying & wish I had done more back in undergrad/etc. If you have then, please disregard that!

I'm wishing the best of luck!! If there's anything I can help with please just let me know! I firmly believe you'll be a great doctor! I don't want things like the MCAT to hinder you! GO EIJI GO <3 SHOW THEM WHAT YOU GOT!

I definitely understand & completely agree with you - even though I took the class I was terribly unmotivated during it so I personally think it's more effective to do just focused study. I ended up using examkrackers and some others like Kaplan and read/did all the questions in their physics sections because I was so fail. I think memorizing the equations & just the type of questions they tend to ask after doing tons of problems really helps!

I actually haven't gone to kcon since '09. I keep being out of the country at the time...and plane tix are cheaper if I book my return after Labor day. I am thinking of going this year. Otherwise my next cons will be Akicon and Sakuracon.

I was in Taiwan two years ago. And then I was in Greece last year. I guess the benefit of this was that since my dad was the one who booked the tix so I would miss kcon, he let me go to sakuracon instead.

overall it was not very helpful. The lady has a completely different sewing style than I do. I don't have the time or money to make 8 mock-ups before making the actual thing. I'm more of a make the garment first and then sew adjustments afterwards type of seamstress.
