Yeah, you will. And I believe we have some Rotary things together (like trips or something). Maybe we'll come to meet you at the airport too. ;>
All the roads are covered with ice and snow, so winter shoes!! But I wonder if you can get them from Australia? :'D

If you can't find winter shoes, then just find something comfortable.
When I came here my Rotary club, host family and other exchange students came to meet me. It was awesome.
When are you flying? I live pretty close to the airport so it'd be easy to come.

oh awesome I fly out of Sydney at 3:40pm on the 23rd, but I get to Chitose Airport at 2:30pm on the 24th (It'll be a Sunday).
How is your japanese? did you learn it before you went on exchange?

I don't have anything on that day, so I'll try to come.
I studied it by myself for about 3 months. So pretty much all Japanese I knew was "Hello my name is Emmi. I'm Finnish." And I could read hiragana and katakana.
I was kind of lucky that there are no other exchange students in my school. None of my friends can really speak English so I've just HAD TO learn Japanese. Also, my current host family can't speak English. I don't really have problems understanding Japanese anymore. Speaking is still little difficult though! But I'm learning fast.

oh that's awesome i've been learning it for about 2 years through school but i still don't feel like i know that much... i think speaking will be a bit hard for me
well i am going to the city tomorrow to go shopping for winter clothes and stuff.. it will be hard here because it's the middle of summer, but hopefully i'll find some nice boots and things and a coat! haha. i barely own any winter clothes. i'm looking forward to meeting you

Haha I've studied Russian for 2 years and I couldn't speak it at all when I went to Russia. After exchange you probably speak Japanese as well as I speak English now.
It was so easy to come here during summer. I bought all my winter clothes here.
Me too!

haha oh wow, would've been gorgeous i never really had any interest in cocker spaniels til i adopted mine. he's so gorgeous, not so smart, but i love him anyways

Yeah, he was black and white. As a pup he was more white with a few black splotches..then when he got older he was mostly black and grey with some white here and there.
My sister moved out and took him with her and kept him in a cramped trailer. He became overweight and developed arthritis. Then she left him at her dad's place (half-sister) and there the dog ran way.
I'm still pissed at her for that.

aw that sucks... i'd be pissed too. at least he ran away. maybe he's living the dream by now lol.

luwinkle In reply to laura-jane [2009-12-07 00:48:26 +0000 UTC]
Oh I'm sure he's dead by now..this was almost a decade ago.
Which sucks..when he lived here he easily outran pups his size. He was one buff pooch, lol.
My sister got a full blooded cocker spaniel (who now lives at her dad's....she never learns). That dog was a complete and total coward, lol. Cute, though.

well then, he's living the life in heaven lol. i think the fact that cocker's are so unintelligent is the reason why they're so lovable. do you have another dog now?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
luwinkle In reply to laura-jane [2009-12-07 00:57:53 +0000 UTC]
Eh, the breed isn't necessarily unintelligent. They can be pretty smart dogs. It really depends more on the individual dog themselves.
And no, I don't. :\
