Bulgaria a god-forsaken country?? xDD
ever heard about chile? about south america? xD... if I got to do all this stuff from this random small third-world country there must be more than a way for you to achieve the same xDD
what do you need to know about smelting?

Oh, of course I've heard about them. Well... from what to make the molds, how to carve them. The perferct temperature for smelting iron. This kind of stuff

try to look for the "lost wax" technic, that's for silver and metals like that, it basically consist on carving a piece of wax annd then pouring some kind of plaster around it (leaving a wax cone for the metal to enter then) then you heat the plaster and the wax evaporates, leaving a clean perfect mold... of course there's more to it, but knowing that you can start experimenting
for silver, gold, copper and stuff you'd need a butane torch (around 1100- 1200 Cº)but that's not enough to smelt iron (around 1500 Cº) and it's quite hard to smelt bronce with that... for iron you need a furnace and coke, there's no other way... but maybe a oxi-acetilene torch could also work, it reachs 2000 Cº quite easily but I don't know if it works with large amounts
also, you should try to go to artisan fairs and ren fairs, ask the local artisans, most artisans do classes and ,of course, they also had to learn somewhere xD
I met the guy who teached me the basics on a ren fair

I've never heard of a renaissance fair in this country or artisan fairs, so I'm kind of lost :c

ahh, come on, ren and medieval fairs are held everywhere through europe all the time... it's just a matter of looking, there must be at least one big reenactment group there and they must know something

I remember that there was only one ren fair that was actually more like a lecture about the knights templar. It's pretty dissapointing :c I will continue to look around though
