# About me
HI! My name is K.S. Randall. I'm a part-time American animation student working on creating professional level art. My drawing style is a bit loose, which sometimes irritates my teachers and the Animation program director. Last March, I found out that the teachers and director desire tight, detailed drawings, so I'm working to get my art up to the level they want.Unlike my peers, I don't have a classical art background. I started drawing still life back in Fall 2007. I only started learning figure drawing in April 2010.
My background is in the sciences (anthropology & medical), but science is no longer challenging career-wise. I want a job where I can use my imagination, and being an animator has been my American dream for a long time. I'm working everyday to make that dream come true.
Don't be surprised if you see mostly anatomy and figure stuff in this sketchbook. My current, short term goal is to memorize how the human body is drawn. It's a school requirement. I'm also learning to add values (shading) to my work using traditional tools (such as a special stick called a pencil :P). I've been dependent on computers do do most of my work, and I thought it would be fun to learn to do art the traditional way.
