Basically, I just want someone that is fairly active and can help vote on things and find good tutorials to put in the group every once in awhile. As it stands right now, the three of us don't do it often (I do it once or twice a month) and some of our submissions end up waiting in the log for a few days (this is a big problem- especially when they only require two votes to get in. There's no real commitment to the group unless we have an event going on where I ask you to write up a tutorial or something (which doesn't happen often and when it does, you have full say in what you do). I don't know what I said before that made it seem like a giant commitment... I probably worded it that way because I was annoyed with a few people applying that didn't know a thing about animation, dAfilm, or didn't log in for weeks at a time. What do you think?

Well, if that's all there's to it. Sure, why not. Voting will be easy, I log in almost every day.
About tutorials, I'll let you know now that the odds i'll have the time for that are nearly nonexistent. I am in the middle of my master's degree right now, so I doubt i'll have the time. However, for all the rest- not a problem, I believe.

So sure, count me in then- and let me know all that I need to get it right.

Yeah, we are all really short on time to make tutorials usually, that's why we mostly collect them from other people- so making the tutorials isn't necessary, it's just a huge plus when it happens. I'll send you the invite.

Well, there's an affiliation request that's been waiting for one more vote that you can vote on... If you have any problems with any functions or whatever, let me or the other two know... There's a forum in the admin area where we talk about ideas, issues, and other things (you might want to browse back there and comment on things if you feel they need your input). There's really not much to it. It's a pretty slow group, so we're really laid back about stuff. If you have films, line tests, whatever to submit to the group, go ahead- I don't think they'll need a vote (I think I set it up so everything goes straight through for you). If you ever know that you won't be able to log in for more than a few days (like more than four), then let us know just so we don't think you died or something. The biggest thing about being an admin of the group, though, is to communicate with us so we all know what's going on. If you have any questions, send me a note or ask in the admin area. If you can't post things in the admin area, let me know and I'll fix it.

Hey!

First of all, thanks for the feedback! glad you enjoyed.

As for ToonBoom, if the film you saw was "Born to be Dead", I used ToonBoom Solo 1.1 at the time. I exported the finished frames from Toon Boom to Adobe Premiere where I finished with all the sound/video editing and compositing.

The final export was an uncompressed Microsoft AVI file. That file was the one I burned on DVD's for film festivals screenings esc. As for web-based formats. I mainly use Quicktime software for the compression (H.24 compressor). Small files, Good quality.

Last vacation I went to Alaska (there are some pics on my DA), my first travel abroad, so any distance is short for me now hehehe, and Israel will certainly be more exciting than AK

and hey, Israel is actually geographically even farther I believe. But it'll certainly be different than Alaska or Brazil.
