Actually, I am the same kilt. ^^
I know very few people who can write AND draw, that's what made me curious. Are you musically talented, too?
Furthermore, I don't know ANY person in real-life who knows Doc Savage.

I play flute, yes.
My dad had a whole bunch of Doc Savage books, and I love the cover art by James Bama. More's the pity of it - more people should know about Doc. He's the original superhero.

All comic superheroes took Doc as an idol.
So you got round reading Robeson's stories due to your dad? In my case it was my mom.
Those books are super hard to get where I live, because in Germany Doc Savage (or pulp literature in general) wasn't popular at all. They were published once in the 70s and that's it.

Yeah, my dad had a whole bunch of them - I live in the US, so it's not hard to find them. I think the ones I have are probably from the 70s too - they're pretty old and musty.

They have this yellowish rough paper, don't they?
I am looking for the Golden Press editions, but they are even harder to find. They are hardback and therefore lasting a little longer than the original paperbacks.

Yeah, they're all paperback...some of them aren't in the best condition.

Hello, dear.
At San Diego Comic Con, I happened to meet George R.R. Martin at the booth of his publisher (I only wanted to buy "A Dance With Dragons" at the booth).
He was signing all his books there and I got that excited that I didn't have the guts to walk up to him and talk to him, so I forced my mother (we both were on vacation in California, before I start studying at university in October, so it's pretty much our last vacation together for a certain time...) to buy the book and George touched her on the shoulder and told her to "enjoy" the book.
Sometimes, I hate being a fangirl. But now I've got a signed copy of ADWD.
