So, you steal other people's artwork, draw over them, and then encourage people to draw over your drawn-over images?

If you're judt going to be rude you shouldn't comment at all. People can draw or trace whatever they please.

Actually there are laws about trying to pass someone else's work off as your own. Β Even if plagiarism manages to fall outside of copyright laws, it still is considered immoral for a reason.
If there was any declaration on the page or the pictures that they were made from other images, I wouldn't give a crap. Β Hell, I would endorse it as a method of practice. Β Tracing is a great way to improve one's talent because you practice the motor skills needed to create the lines you want.
But posting these pictures on DeviantArt without mentioning where they came from is -in fact- claiming that you have made them. Β (When you upload art here, you legally have copyrights to that art.) Β Asking other people to then draw over them is basically like selling stolen wares. Β People who use these bases would have no idea that they were stolen, and then THEY would incur the anger of the original artist for plagiarizing their work, when they had no idea it was stolen in the first place.
These "bases" were stolen from other images, and I see nothing mentioned anywhere that this is so, which is tantamount to claiming they are original. Β Anyone with some integrity should be offended.
