Hehe, well, that is true.

One thing I find funny is, all kinds of broadcasters are getting all butt-hurt about Cam Newton's so-so draft status, saying that he's big and strong, has a monster throwing arm(so was JaMarcus Russell), and has proven himself to be a good team leader with good work ethic. On the other hand, they totally ripped anyone who predicted Tim Tebow as a 1st-rounder, despite being essentially the blueprint for a player like Newton. No disrespect to Cam, but Tim is perhaps the best college football player of ALL TIME, as well as being the most passionate and driven competitor of ALL TIME. So what gives with the double standard?

BTW, if Cam does make it in the NFL, his nickname needs to be "Fig". Either that, or "Shaft".

Eh. I'll be happy to keep our championship for a few years until new details get out and they take it away from us.

As far as Cam and his draft stock goes, I think the only reason he was 'ahead' of Tebow was because his throwing motion didn't take nine years to go around, and he's even bigger/quicker than Tebow. I like Tebow.. but some of the throws I've seen him make just haven't had the velocity as Cam's did. Then again, both are projects anyway, so we'll see where they both end up in the next few years.

He's miles and miles ahead of Jamarcus though.

Whenever draft experts talk about how size, strength, and throwing power/velocity are important aspects to a quarterback, they will never, ever, in a million years, be able to escape the specter of JaMarcus "Purple Drank" Russell. Remember that the best quarterback in the league is also arguably the worst athlete in the league(Tom Brady). Anyways, just remember the all-important aspect, the "Intangibles". When a player like Chris Long or Tim Tebow comes around, where they never discuss throwing power or 40 times, because they're so wrapped up with their off-the-wall "intangibles", you know they'll be good. And Tim's body is actually 97% composed of intangibles.

Here's a good example of why Tim is so good. When a linebacker shouts some profane smack talk across the line of scrimmage, he'll look back and say "Thank you! Jesus loves you!". Can you, as a linebacker, imagine anything that would disrupt your focus on the next play more than that?
