I'm a nerdy 21 year old who loves taking pictures. Sadly it is nothing more than a hobby, and one I don't have nearly as much time to persue as I would like thanks to the huge amount of time that university and life in general suck up.

I still like to pretend that I'm better at photography then I actually am though. :)

I also occasionally like to dabble in the arts of drawing and painting.

I use a Canon Rebel XS for most of my photos.

Welcome to deviantart!

Thank you very much. I'm not a photographer in the professional sense. I don't get paid or do it as a job. I don't even take art class, (though I really wish I could) I just really love photography.

If you work at it I'm sure you could be amazing. There are so many self-taught photographers out there who have splendid talents. Just pick up a camera and play around with it. Experiment. Figure out what looks good to you and what doesn't. Most importantly have fun. :D (Big Grin)

You're not good at thinking you're better at being good at photography (otherwise the world would die in overconfidence) :) (Smile) Love how 'zoned-in' all of your shots are, even though the subjects aren't always in the middle. Same tact as with the croppage of that eagle pic of mine you faved... hmmm... must be a Canadian thing.

And thank you. I've always liked how I compose things but so often I have people telling me I'm doing it all wrong. I just ignore them most of the time though, since I'm taking the pictures for me more than anything else. I want to like them. Of course I like it when other people like my photos as well but if they don't it doesn't really matter to me. :D (Big Grin)

Yeah, that's a good way to look at it :) (Smile) Screw convention when it's to do with creativity... Even with English, as long as things make sense and are spelled right I don't believe you should follow a 'rule'. You're just basically cutting off all that extra creative space :O (Eek)

Exactly. My english teachers are usually pretty unimpressed with me because I start sentences with 'and' and have fragments all over the place when I write stories. But that is often because it helps convey the mood, or because I'm writing as if I were the main character and that is how people really talk.
