basically, i got your fb post, but i can't go on fb atm because i have exams atm so i've had my pw changed so i can't go on!
i'm not really sure what the difference between a traveller card and a visitors card :S but oyster cards can be used over a long period of time, you just have to top up the card with money, so if you are planning to stay and go around london for a few days, it may be worth getting an oyster card! i have a friend who came to london from australia and got an oyster card, i'm not sure on the full details though! sorry!
you can use your oyster cards on buses in london, but you have to pay extra for overground trains.
i'm pretty sure you won't be able to get the underground to stonhenge or bath and you will probably need to take an overground train, which you will have to buy seperate tickets for.
if you are travelling to liverpool from london, you will definitely need to buy a ticket, you'll probably take an overground train from victoria stn? (not too sure! lol) and the tickets might cost quite a bit, maybe Β£25? i don't think its any cheaper...it really depends when you buy the ticket, if you book the ticket before the day of travel, they will be cheaper.
