Your ponies are absolutely AMAZING. I'm not much of a fan of (I think) G3 Pony bodies/heads, But, As soon as I saw your The Twilight Saga ponies, I swear, I think I'm starting to like them. Your painting is incredible, And, oh my god, can you detail! You've earned a watcher!

I'm sorry if this adds more to your messages; but I was wondering where you get the pony models to make customs?
Most of them have different manes, so could you let me know where you purchase those too?
Do you just buy the plastic models and then paint over them, make them yourself or get them from a certain shop?

I buy ponies at various place (Target, Walmart, Ebay, etc) and remove the original factory paint, as well as their hair.
I replace the hair with nylon hair purchased at one of several online doll hair retailers. And paint using acrylic paints.

Just another question - when doing the hair, do you glue it in or create a mould to hold it in place?

There are 2 methods of rehairing. One involves a re-hairing tool and glue, the other is usually called "the needle method" (which is what I started with) I have a tutorial for that here: jupiternwndrlnd.deviantart.com…
