Hello Haven't seen any new stuff from you on DA for a while, do you still post anywhere? Are you still doing work for White Wolf these days?

Nope. They can't afford me any more. I work in advertising mostly nowadays. It's not published, lacks any sort of geek cred but it pays really well and puts you through your paces as an artist.

Being paid well is always a good thing! I was working at Manulife for a while (think I might have mentioned it? Can't remember...), also really great pay though not very creative, just powerpoint mainly with an occasional invitation design, sadly they are no longer using freelancers...bah!

Skin is a bit tough, but not as bad as you may think. Typically it's a sort of orange red tint (with white added), and it darkens into a brown.
That's oversimplifying things though. Skin picks up colour from everything around it as well as having tinges of green and redness in different parts. It would take a while to explain, plus honestly I do the tones in black and white and then layer the colour in with photoshop using a "colour" or "overlay" layer. Play around and see what you get...

There's a few to look into.
I went to OCAD. It's a good school, but focuses on art theory and practice over technique. I learned almost none there (most valuable classes were design, colour theory and one drawing teacher). You have to be really into art (not just the comic book/video game stuff) to get the most out of it.
Sheridan is good for animation and illustration. I can't comment much on that one, because I never went there, but it has a good reputation.
All the universities in the area have an art program. I would go with York, they have a full spectrum of support for the arts in one part of the campus, which puts all that creative stuff in one place. It's a good environment to be creative in.
