Yeah i've been using bases only if I get artist's block :/ But mainly everything else was free-drawn.

Yeah, but I look and your gallery and see a thumbnail and I say "Wow, that's amazing" only to find out after clicking that it was just a base you used. It's better to just work on your own, so you can improve your own work.

I know and I try and try , yeah im getting better I dunno sometimes I just cant draw what im feeling because I can loose an idea if I get too distracted and its hard to remember what I wanted to draw so that is the whole reason my gallery has bases in it.

Well how about trying to ween yourself off of them. How about this: You see a base, you like the scene. But instead of using it, just draw someone in the same position or scene.
