# About me

An artist with multiple facets who draws, paints and plays the guitar, Jeff Grimal offers us his own private imaginary and unique world inspired by astonishing travels to alien dimensions. His pictorial art depicts the images and characters of a tormented world. His oil paintings – typical of an artist’s first pieces of work – clearly announced a Gothic and disturbing style. However, as if he had tamed them, his ambient atmospheres have evolved towards a more refined style (with black and white sketches). Henceforth, erotic hints and traces of dark humor have emerged in these fantastic ambient atmospheres. We become attached to his characters and their world. The interest of these works of art obviously lies in the details. We examine his art from different angles and we recapture the joy of paintings that can be endlessly observed and still yield new discoveries to the viewer. To have a painting by Jeff Grimal at home is to witness the awakening of an entire world - both shifting and thrilling
