I didn't finish art school and am doing China Studies now at Leiden University. Recently I have picked up arts again. Haven't done anything the past year! It was like the art academy sucked out all my desire to do anything related to art! Terribleeee. I guess it wasn't quite for me after all. I would prefer to do things my own way.Β

Yes, I agree with your take on art school. I have found that my artwork was always highly personal and I had trouble expressing myself to be judged for marks, which caused me to block in my creative process.Β
I think I've just started finding back my interest in art. Still figurative arts, I have yet to pick up my paint brushes! I hope soon!
