# About me
I have been shooting professionally since 1996. I focus on fashion and glamour portraits in my Kansas City studio. I am a Nikon snob and a certified Photoshop expert. I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, Professional Photographers of America, and the American Society of Picture Professionals.I studied photography in college before getting my MBA at the University of Missouri, KC. I also did the New York Institute of Photography course in Professional Photography. Although I started my life as a photographer shooting mainly landscapes, over the years I've become more studio-focused.

I just read a comment you made on another persons post. I totally agreed that the piece was not appropriate as art. Taking a pic of ones own genitalia either male or female does not mean it is art. When it contains a drop of semen at the head it makes it pornography. But the rest of your self righteous crap is opinionated and insulting. I came to your page to leave a positive comment and commend you for what you were saying but then I read your comments in your journal consent to mock. you say your so much more evolved but you are just a homophobic scared individual which puts you in the same boat of adolescent crap that you are condemning. I believe everyone is entitled to there own opinion and every one has different taste. Being respectful to that is probably the one thing we all need to work on. I am offended with the comments you make as far as gay men. We are not all flaming perverts looking for attention and wanting to post pictures of ourselves. It is sometimes better to think of what your saying before you post it and put it out there for everyone else to see how much of a hypocritical person we are. I am not trying to put you down just trying to encourage you to reword or rethink stuff in the future so you can get your point across without sounding like a ranting raving child. This is not really the place for that and it tears apart the DA community. As an artist I commend you for respectfully posting tasteful nudes I am a moderator of a few groups here and find that a lot of stuff posted is inappropriate. I am constantly removing declining or discussing with other artists why I can not allow their work in the group. Your work as an artist is very nice clean and safe. I respect what you post as an artist but am not impressed with the way you treat others. Comments about appropriate artwork are fine but attacking individuals and groups of people are forms of prejudice and hate. they are also a form of bullying and not allowed on DA. Your opinions on artwork are encouraged but more people will respect what you are saying if you would just stay focused on the artwork instead of attacking individuals and groups of people.

I never once said I was more evolved. There are plenty of artists on DA that are lightyears ahead of my abilities. I commend them often and publicly for their work. I also recognize that many people on DA are new, young artists who are just getting started. I never have anything bad to say about an artist who is simply inexperienced. Never.
Homophobic is definitely the wrong word to describe both my actual beliefs and the rant in my journal. Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. If you are posting disgusting pictures of your genitals then you are a juvenile idiot. You can be a juvenile idiot regardless of your sexual orientation. That's evidenced by the countless pictures of spread female genitals, penetration, and other things that are posted on here every day.
I'm sure you know what it's like to try and browse through DA. It's art with everything from mediocre to excellent execution, interspersed with absolute obscene garbage. I'm not a prude, but that's not why DA exists. This is a forum for people who want to create, not for horny idiots that want to get people to look at their junk. Their response is always "you don't have to browse artistic nudes if you don't want to see it." But that's crap. I shoot art nudes and I like to see what other people are doing. My only choice is to stop looking at what other people are creating, or to see their nasty pictures.
So, I take your comment as you intended, as constructive criticism. You are right that I was frustrated and ranting when I posted my current journal. I will take what you said into consideration on future posts. As someone who seems reasonable, I hope that you could see the kernel of truth in what I was saying regardless how strongly I stated it.

Thank you for your response and it is apparent we agree about DA being used inappropriately. I really wanted to commend you for stating that but I was insulted with what you posted in your journal and felt if I addressed it we could learn from each other and understand each others point of view. I hope I have not turned you off from standing up to people about posting inappropriate works, and hope that when you do you can do it with respect to every one.
