oh yeah definitely . You're like a really really smart person so any tips on how to deal with 17 tests? There all super important and if I fail I have to take classes again. The bad thing that I can't study because not even the teachers know what the tests are about... (they're "fixing" the education in my whole state) so the main thing = I have no idea what to do

  Thank you so very much for the kind compliments, my friend. Smart? Well, I think "able to survive" is more to the point...

I'm sorry I was away for a few days... I wasn't sure if you had already started on them yet - I think that's quite a tall order to expect of students...I mean, not being able to study for tests that even the teachers can't advise you on? So I take it they're like "general knowledge" exams like the MCAS or SAT's? Yes, I remember my SAT tests way back in the day - you really couldn't study or cram for those - it was like, what you know already is what you bring into the test center that morning (along with your No. 2 pencils)...and the rest is "in the mail" as they say.

My advice? For openers, it's not your fault that they're doing this - what I would do is just clear your mind as best you can, and use a technique that will put you into as tranquil a mood as possible when the tests come along. Like you said, you can't study for them...well, that narrows your job down considerably! What else can you do?

I feel you are a very intelligent young lady - and no matter what happens, you will be successful. Don't let this nonsense get you down - you're better than that.

Thank you so much!! I have been away as well so no worries XD. I haven't taken them yet actually. They don't know when we'll be taking them because the departments that sends our tests are not really that organized and are late sending them to school  . I try my best to be in a relaxed mood for these things but it's never really worked XD. I'm one of those students that gets lower than an A and cries . I guess you're right though... they're giving me nothing to work with so if I do fail I guess I can't really blame myself. Just hearing someone say to just relax makes me feel so much better! All my life I've had to be the best or I feel like my parents will be disappointed, so I guess knowing this is something I can't control makes me uneasy XD. You've helped so much! Thanks again! And honestly this is pretty sad but you've given me better advice than my irl friends going through the same thing XD.

P.S. don't know if you remember this but I made it into that high school I wanted to go to... I got the 29th slot out of 30! I'm so lucky XD

  You're very welcome my friend - and yes, you've got the right idea; it really can't be your fault if the "test gurus" didn't provide you with the proper study materials ahead of time...it's like, you can only get as much out of someone as you put into them...

But thanks so much for the compliments! I'm so glad I was able to help reassure you. I've been there myself, trust me - in the end, I just went in, took the tests and went home. I said to myself, "as long as I go home alive at the end of the day - that's what matters now". That's exactly what we must try to do - relax! I know it's easier said than done, but fear is contagious and can do far more damage. So, no worries - I call it "pre-test anxiety" myself. It will pass.

And congratulations - yes, I believe you did tell me about the high school you got into - I'm so happy for you!
