Some people are assholes, I'm afraid.. >:C I've also stumbled across a few looking down on me because I want to be an artist/animator/mangaka/game developer (Yes, we have the same dreams~ ^-^) and I felt as if my dream wasn't good enough, or wasn't living up to the expectations I had to reach according to some others. That's when I made up my mind. I thought that I'd show them all, show them how I could make both others and myself happy at the same time with what I do. In comparison to them who all studied to either sit behind a desk one day, or work their pants off fysically, I would be doing what i loved to do for a living, instead of focusing only on making money. 
I don't really know why many look down upon us, but I do believe it's partly out of jealousy.
I think what artists do is amazing.. and I've always thought that. I mean, how cool isn't it to be able to picture something in your head, and later visualing it, making it reality? No matter how crazy the idea. 
So stick to your dreams, because they are the ones pushing you forth, making you believe that you can achieve great things, only you try your hardest.

That just got me in a really good mood, because earlier when I was going over what I wanted to be as I get older, ( This was like yesterday ) , one of my old friends and some dude kept shitting all over what I wanted to be. ( An artist, animator, mangaka, game devoloper. ) It made me feel really bad because, I wanted to be these things since I was in Kindergarten. And I still cling to those dreams, trying to make progress. >_>; So it was really hurtful seeing them shit all over it... But that made me feel much better, thankyou. <3
