how is your studies?

yes, all is well with me... we had some gorgeous summer holidays at the coast again - nicest weather and sea air, so very refreshing...
and this time i had the opportunity to visit the annual exhibition of my old friend diedel...

the years before i couldn't see it because of the school holidays which ended to early - this time they were later so i took the chance - it was great, fantastic in fact... and he seems to sell enough to earn a living...

today we have the first rainy day after weeks, which we need for the plants, they already started to dry out...

That's lovely that you got to go, and those sculptures are amazing! The rain is always welcome after a long dry summer, and I'm sure the plants will be very happy.
Studies are going well, starting my third year at college, so just about half way through. Some interesting classes this quarter so I'm looking forward to that.
Hopefully I have time to do more art!

ah, good to know, that you still like your studies, cool... ...and some new art would surely be nice - i suppose you'll be surprised to have a different aproach to things now...

i had a lot of changes in my life -the worst thing was, that one of my two women died last year in may and we had a hard time after that - you can imagine... but since this year started we are looking forward again and it's all good... i still do things my way, but i see me approach differently in many points now - feels good...

btw. this guy diedel is an old music buddy of mine, for many years we played together in a band - he is a really wicked reggae bass player - and we sat there in the evening talking about music and he told me he got an old piano and asked me if i would like to play... so i sat down and played a little, the door was open and he and his friends who had helped him with his exhibition sat outside, drinking, talking, listening in the warm summer air - well, after i finished, he suggested to push the piano out on the terasse the next day so i could play for the visitors of the exhibition...
yes, we did that, haha, so the next day, whenever i felt like playing a little, i could do so, mainly for the people who sat down to drink a coffee or eat a little something - ah, it was way cool... there was even a couple who were quite surprised to see me behind the piano, because they had thought a cd was playing...

Yes I hope I'll have a new take on things, perhaps the time will show me another side of the artistic process. That would be fun but we'll see when I have time for that... And I'm sorry to hear about her passing, I lost two of my close teachers from school over the summer. It is hard, but we move on...
About getting to see your friend and playing with him, that sounds like so much fun, just playing for all the people at the exhibition and getting to chat and hang out. What a great story about the couple who were surprised, I'm sure they had great looks on their faces! Sounds like you've had some great times recently, I'm glad to hear it...

yes, it was a good year this year, after a really dark last one...
then i just founded a new band with my brother again and two other guys - we want to go into sort of old fashioned rock styles, which is a bit thrilling for me - i didn't go for rock music since the middle 80s, haha...

I believe its under window, where you can turn on and off layers, colors, actions, ect
There's a pane under actions (well in my case alphabetical) but you should be able to find it... Then you turn layers on and off to change with new frames...
Takes a little getting used to, but you'll figure it out... I'm sure there's tutorials online...

yes, i listened. hmm, not so much of my thing. i think the singing could be a little more distinct. but over the years i got a bit spoiled through the pop music i had to listen to. you know the kids here listen to hiphop, pop techno a.s.o. i used to be into noise music vry much, but now it's more on the quieter side. and i did a lot of reggae with several bands. i have some recordings of the last band here
