I can imagine! I don't know what I would do without my tablet. Lol, one time the battery was running low in the pen and I thought the darn thing was broken, I just about bawled lol then my husband switched it for me and it worked perfectly! I felt so silly XP

On average a decent pen tablet can run anywhere from $150 to even $400 US dollars. It gets pretty spendy!
However this one I found for $65-75 including shipping and warranty.
I'd check around online, that's where you'll get the best deals.
I wouldn't trust ebay since you'd get one second hand most likes and who knows how well it works?

Drawing and such is a HUGE part of my life and is also my favorite hobby so it was important to me, especially when I started to color on the computer.
I still draw everything on paper and scan it, I feel I get more detail doing things that way.

really!? i think we are doing the same..heheh i always started on a white piece of paper..then scan it..heheh..and because im not yet getting software that can help me to make lines thick or solid..i can only use the paint.. haha.. its very tiring when i use that..^^

I can imagine! O.O Paint isn't the program you want to use, I would recommend starting out with Paintshop Pro 7, that's the version that I still use so if you want any tips I'd be happy to offer some layering techniques ^^ There is a free-ware site you could download a torrent and open it that way...and actually...what kind of internet connection do you have?

Well, if you are ever interested I could see if I could send you a copy of my PSP7 to try out and see if you like it. That is if you are actually using the basic paint...We could see if we could do it via a zipfile, but that's totally up to you I don't want to twist your arm or anything.

The only thing that comes to mind is I was talking to someone else about possibly sending them Paintshop Pro 7 via a zipfile through email for them to try.
When you mentioned you were using Paint I assumed it was the Paint program on Windows under All Programs-->Accessories, the one that comes generic with Windows XP....

hahahaha.ur asking me? wel,i have watch a LOT!?!?!? of anime..hehehe but i think the first anime that i watch is card captor sakura..my first favorite.. haha..then it follows...naruto until shippuden,bleach,zero no tsukaima 1 and 2, vampire knight,mahora sensei negima 1 and 2,lucky star, azumanga daio, school rumble 1 and 2,tsubasa chronicles 1 and 2,full metal alchemist, full metal panic and fumofuu until second raid,gundam seed and also destiny,gundam zero,gundam x,and gundam wing, nogizaka haruka no himitsu,air gear, the ugly and beautiful world, fruits basket, and some hentai, and lots of anime that has good quality drawing.d hahahahaha but what i mentioned is wat i like.

I recognize a few, and a couple of them I LOVE! I love Fruits Baskets of course, and I forgot all about Full Metal Panic and Fumofuu! I have the entire collection, just waiting until I can see the rest!
I have to mention that I also like Slayers ^-^ I guess I do watch a little more than I thought.
I'm also always on the hunt for an anime/manga that has good art. I've recently just started watching Di Gi Charat which is kind of cute and of course the occasional hentai.

I know what you mean by having to juggle a lot of things and I admire that you can do it so well. At the moment I don't have much to worry about other than finding work to pay some bills but my art seems to be helping that at times so I'm lucky.

I love drawing the cute girls I love the way they look and the whole art style is incredibly fun to draw but I also REALLY enjoy drawing action style.
I guess it all really depends on what mood I'm in and which character I'm drawing

me? i like half serious drawings..cos i dont like too serious that u nid too much details..I like cute ones but i like the serious or beautiful drawings better.. yah that also, when im only in the mood that i can make gud drawings..hehehe Although lucky star is a kawaii drawings, i like it because of the story and some anime inserts..hehehe

Same here, once in a while a picture with minimal detail is nice, but I do prefer to draw pictures that have a lot of little details. Nothing that's important to the picture really, but things like zippers and stuff.
But the style of anime where things are very simply drawn can sometimes look the best ^^ I do prefer to color the really easy line-art tho

Nonsense! You do great art, whether it's color or line-art!
I know what you mean, I haven't had any lessons, in fact I actually failed my art class The only thing I can recommend as far as learning to draw details is just study other peoples art that you admire and then of course everyday objects. I find myself picking apart everything, breaking it down into factors I would draw if I were drawing it, but I think you could do it, of course if you wanted to
