I actually only got one in preparation for NaNoGraphMo, (which is like NaNoWriMo but with comics aherpderp) but that ambition was shit before the horse even got to the gate due to November being a bad month for me.

I haven't uploaded jack shit and even though I can tell by the large text and really simple design it is supposed to be so user-friendly a half-blind monkey with a dented head could easily blog on it, it is Something New and thus my reaction to it is still "what the hell how does this work ugh". But maybe having other people I know on there will help to ease into it better? idk

yeah ive had a tumblr for like a million years and i still dont know how to work it and im too embarrassed to ask :C i thought nano comics was nanomango or something weeaboo like that? is it separate?? i cant keep up with you kids. last year i prepared all october with sketches for a comic and then did literally nothing all of november. then later, i lost my moleskine (and also my planner and they contained EVERYTHING IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE including my passport and some drawings from suddenly), but its okay because my mango graphmo was basically skyoshock before i saw the designs for skyoshock. they ripped me off!!no. i wish i could have actually played bioshock at some point but my computer is so shit with games

and I have never heard of skyoshock before and all I know of Bioshock is that there are big big things with like a bell diving outfit called Big Daddies that look out for little zombie girls with syringes and I find their relationship so freakin adorable.

oh geez i think you found the solution although to be honest im not sure if im willing to walk the walk. ive become much more comfortable on tumblr after i realized there are other not very hip people on there. sometimes people are AGGRESSIVELY HIP, and only post things that are inside jokes to an extent, and only captain them with inside jokes. its rough.

i guess its the 3rd bioshock or something? and instead of underwater its the sky.... BIOSHOCK INFINITE or something?? i watched a trailer and it was neat altho obvsly ill never play it bc i am the bad at videogames. like SO BAD, thats why i stick to zelda and animal crossing i guess. although, i am a fucking PRO at animal crossing, let me just say

AND I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS TRAILER it's got the guy falling ass over head and like holding onto the blimp for dear life and really it should be terrifying but it's set to a jaunty tune and there is some hot babe waiting for him? oh its a clusterfuck. i also had that problem with putting my crappy drawings in with the rest of the stuff, which is why i have a separate tumblr for arting into. a lot of people i know arent bothered by that though. and some people make the effort to credit everything they post but nobody will get mad at you if you don't, because a big part of the sites atmosphere is posting really hip obscure stuff that other people are supposed to just recognize if they are hip enough. i would say just go nuts and post/reblog everything you like C:

Okay because I have a metric shitton of cool photos that I don't remember where I got them just rotting on my harddrive waiting for me to open up the folder and be inspired by them, which was the reason for saving them in the first place.

what I guess I am trying to say is that I am glad that there is not that many ethics involved in tumblr on principle so I do not feel obligated to feel bad about this behavior.

and people will just have to prepare themselves to see my shitty doodles right next to awesome shit because fuck if I am making another account I tried to balance multiple accounts with TE and ended up just migrating completely to my doodle account.

I am going to be a jerk and use the cop-out answer of Mostly Everything.

though I guess if I had to narrow it down I would have to say that the NPCs actually had story/history to them that would actually go on regardless if the moon was falling on the world or not (mostly looking at the Lulu/Zora egg plotline, or Pamela and her father in the musicbox house here for the best example of something not directly triggered by Skull Kid, if I am remembering right)

and I guess the focus on smaller stories on top of the over-arching plot of "OH SHIT THE MOON SHE BE FALLIN AND GIVIN Y'ALL THE STINK EYE" was really cool and I like it.

and since we are on the topic of most favorite/least favorite things about Majora's Mask I must admit I absolutely loathed the parts of reviews and advertising for the game that contained lines like "venture further down the rabbit hole" or something similar because WARRGBLARBLBRERLE. NO.

Like I can see what they are getting at, with the very beginning Link falling into the tree right before he gets turned into a Deku, and that it reused polygons and character designs from OoT

but I really don't think it warrants a comparison to Alice in Wonderland.
Maybe if Termina was more like Hyrule in a uncomfortably close way, like with a Lake Terlia and Pain Mountain and Anju had a really inexplicable attraction to chickens and or something really obviously analogous to Hyrule, but just slightly off and not exact, instead of just re-vamping it all completely as they did, THEN I think using that phrase would be better.

i have some weird kind of ocd function where i can either be completely disorganized or intensely organized, but kind-of-organized drives me just up the wall. so i guess thats why my tegakis are all over the place. i could delete and start over, but there are so many memories in the comments, i love every comment anyones ever doodled for me.

hmmmm.... so was the gibdo plotline skull kid's doing at all? I'm trying to remember. did he really fuck over ikana town significantly like he did with all the other regions? i thought that storyline with sharp composer and igos just wanting the kingdom to be alive again was the most powerfully sad but maybe that is just my awwww zombies bias. man there were a lot of emotions in that game!

so im thinking about this and man, why does everything with an emphasis on the weird get compared to alice in wonderland?? although, this was like 2000, right? so maybe it hadnt been beaten to as bloody of a pulp yet. invader zim hadnt even come out! deviantart was like a quaint little community! hordes of obnoxious alice fans had yet to emerge! i dont know im sure you have a lot of way better opinions on this.
but yeah MM is definitely not Alice's Adventures! i feel that. and i would loooove if there were more of an uncanny valley feel in MM although there is some of that already what with the recycled dudes. what makes me love that game is that it doesnt stop to go, "look at this! look how weird it is! ha ha this game is so quirky!" it just breezes right past that and acts like nothing is wrong so the whole time youre like "wait what".

also im combining the other comment with this one to see how much essay i can write on your page comments. the alien shooting gave me so many heart attacks!! it was hard enough running around and not trying to shoot them from horseback. but it's soooo worth it to be able to use the zora shield for more than 3 seconds. and you can gather 200 rupees in 2 minutes silly, they are all around clock town!

See I have like the opposite of OCD or something where I can't have everything perfectly organized it BUGS THE SHIT OUT OF ME I have to have a little mess or else by the process of organization I forget where shit is. It's weird.

I think most of the Ikana plot was unrelated to Skull-Kid at all, but maybe I am remembering incorrectly? It was generally a shithole before hand, think all Skullkid did was dry up the water so the music box house would not play. Pamela's dad got cursed by the Gibdo regardless because he was fuckin around in their well, I think. And then the whole Igos is completely unrelated- Ikana had been dead for years after whatever war they had (with the Garo, I think? There is this whole theory that is why Ikana sucks so bad is because the Garo infiltrated the Stone Tower Temple and opened some doors that should not have been opened and that is what kind of fucked over both Igos kingdom and the Garo and why they are dead.) It's my personal headcanon that Stone Tower Temple was where Majora's Mask was sealed, and most of it's bad juju leaked throughout Ikana after the Ikana/Garo war since the seal was broken so that is why Ikana is such a shit hole in general and the whole reason why the Skull Kid could even wear the mask for three days before the mask goes all Master of Puppets on midnight of the Final Day. Which actually I have some old fanfic sitting on my harddrive that was all introspective and from Skull Kid's POV about how he could feel control of the mask slipping away from him and shit and I should go back and re-write it it was actually pretty cool. CAN YOU TELL I LOVE NARRATIVES THAT ALLOW YOU TO FILL IN THE BLANKS YOURSELF OH MY GOD I JUST GO TO FUCKING TOWN ON THIS SHIT LET ME TALK (type) YOUR EARS (eyes) OFF (out?).

And yes! I really enjoyed that MM didn't point out all the weirdness- it just shoved you into it. I think that may be where a lot of the Alice in Wonderland vibe may be from? Like, Alice/Link was just shoved into a world sort of like, and simultaneously unlike what she/he knew? But I think a lot of my opinion/rage on this issues is because Alice in Wonderland has become like the default comparison to stories involving traveling to a different world but Termina didn't really feel quite as analogous to Hyrule or have as much twisted logic to me to deserve that, which I already stated.

And uahg I always slowed down time for the alien shooting- even though I guess they move at the same pace regardless? and fuck using horseback I always went up to the roof of the house and sniper'd that shit. The only thing you had to worry about then was the one alien that came from behind. And actually I did utilize the bank and knew about the silver rupees all over clocktown-- my comment was more about ridiculous Zelda pricing in general, rofl.

I thought the water in Ikana dried up because of Sharp Composer.... because Flat knew about it when he taught you the song of storms, right? I guess there is also Skull Keeta who is unrelated to skullkid's shenanigans. and yeah i share your frustration that everything has to be alice. when i read alice in wonderland it struck me as quirky and funny rather than creepy and super emotional but maybe i didnt read alice right... all in all it is an entirely different sort of Strange Land Tale and such automatic comparisons unermine the intricacies and nuance of both! thats how i feel.

I actually have no idea if Skull Kid had any hand in Ikana Valley's shittiness, now that you bring up the Sharp Brothers (I forget they are in that game at all sometimes even though they are key to the plot! ) A quick Zelda wiki search says that yeah, Skull Kid did dry up the water. ah yes i see. hmmm. it almost seems like they were trying to be friendly lmao. i remember if you go up and knock on the door she says "GO AWAY! MY FATHER IS NOT ONE OF YOU" god that arc was sad 8( and also terrifying, when he bursts out of the wardrobe.

I didnt actually read the essay (it was a LOT of text and seemed to go off on weird tangents and i think it was written by someone a lot younger than me) but it was extremely in depth and had a lot of great screenshots of all the creepy shit. i enjoyed that, like that extremely unscary creepypasta, it touched on ikana lore and how it was creepy in sideways directions rather than forward ones, if that makes any sense. yeah?

and horseback archery is A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. are you bad at shooting arrows? well it will probably be way easier if youre on the back of a fucking horse!!! oops you ran into a something. time to back away from it for 9 seconds. ARGH
actually, i was really fucking good at archery in Wind Waker. i really enjoyed sniping kargarocs and shooting the bridge ropes and then getting bokoblins to chase me. OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT RELATED BUT, ok sort of related, did you ever pull up pots in windwaker instead of treasure chests? and then link gets all disappointed?? after like years of playing and replaying it happened to me and i was like HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! because id never seen it before! i love finding new things like that c:

The first time I played through it I was just kind of "OH MY GOD THIS IS TERRIFYING" but then once I got over the fact that PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING IN IKANA IS DEAD GET USED TO IT it was actually terribly sad. And Gibdos need to fucking learn how to make their own trade system instead of making Link their errand boy oh my god getting the mirror shield was such bullshit.

Yes! I remember this, and they had like the screenshot of the blocks with the triforce on their tongue and stuff? I think that's why MM in general sticks to me, is because of the side-ways, indirect creepiness. I'll look it up and read it for real shortly.

STRANGELY ENOUGH in OoT I was the one who played on my brother's file and got the gold membership or whatever for the Gerudo horseback archery. But that was also like... in a straight line. Anything where I actually have to control the horse at the same time? NUUUUH. sections in Twilight Princess where you need to fight on horseback are some of the most controller breaking frustrating things ever.

and I got pots all the time in Windwaker omg his dissapointed face haunted my dreams. I FELT SO BAD BECAUSE HE GOT SO EXCITED it was like kicking a puppy

I did a thing once where I left the temples after getting the item (like the bow to get into snowhead and the fire arrows to get the powder keg --> epona --> into great bay, etc) without beating the bosses or freeing the giants and just moved on to the next one. i got as far as the mirror shield maze and one of them wanted blue potion, which i guess you need the mask of scents for, but maybe thats good that the deku butler's thing is required because then you get that extra gutpunch of sadness at the end credits! apparently, you can use the oath to order before youve freed every giant, and a few will come but it won't be enough. i have never tried this because oh my god too sad.
you know what MM didnt have though? fucking..... DEAD HAND GUY. AUGH. AAAAGH i guess OoT did have that going for it in terms of "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" creepy fucked upness.

I'll have to look that thing up too and then we can dissect it! I havent played all of TP (i know i know) because i hate the wiimote and actually i dont have any consoles atm and the beginning felt extremely Gothic Kingdom Hearts and there was so much blinding contrast and i just.... eh. when my roommate lets me use her wii maybe i will give it another go but i just dont have the time/coordination i used to for some reason.

AND LOL THAT IS SO SAD i was like shocked and horrified when it happened because i had never disappointed him like that, as bad as i was at pulling up treasure (pretty bad)! Link's expressions were the best part of that game.

I have used the oath to order with 3/4 giants freed. They struggle to hold it up and then sort of just buckle under the weight and oh my god never again. I swear I sat staring at my tv with the most exaggerated ':C' face ever.

I AM SO GLAD MM DID NOT HAVE DEAD HAND OH MY GOD NIGHTMARES FOREVER I only got through that part of the game by being gross and imagining that the battle was actually taking place in poo and Dead Hand was actually Menstruation Incarnate because he kind of looked like a bloody tampon to me for some reason? and then I learned later that the texture of the room is actually comprised of many skulls, so I don't know if I could use that same imagery to get through it now that I know that.

and I did not have a Wii at the time Twilight Princess was released, so I have the gamecube version. Then my gamecube kicked the bucket so I got a Wii to play them on. But yeah I will definately agree that the excessive bloom/contrast in the twilight portions is really annoying.

UNDERWATER HYRULE WAS THE BEST PART HNNNNGH I walked around when everything was statues for like a solid half-hour just looking around the castle itself because I am easily amused.

ffff no worries school has actually be putting on the pressure lately for me, too. Plus I forget to sign into AIM all the time so THAT IS PARTIALLY MY FAULT as well.

But yeah it was TOTALLY LIKE 10 PAGES SHORTER. I would say that I feel cheated but I love it so much that I can't bring myself to do so.

Also the startled piss made me laugh, too. Though while looking at the panel of Thorfinn having the nightmare makes sense having read all the previous chapters and knowing what he could be having nightmares about, but out of context it is hilarious looking! Some sick part of me wants to photoshop that panel with shoujo sparkles and dialog like, "OH EINAR BE GENTLE, DESU~<3" in the speech bubbles because I am easily amused by stupid things like that.

Also Orman did not sleep with that Arneis, but Einar mistook her for Orman's sister/daughter of the master because she rode around on the wagon and doesn't look like she does that much labor? I think if anyone is sleeping with her it would be Orman's dad.

Einar is adorably noble but you are totally right on the naivety bit. I want to both facepalm and go "d'aaawww" at him. I did not expect him to grow the balls to tackle Orman, though I think the friendly talk with Aneis may have bolstered him to do stupid things to live to be treated sweetly by her again.

Also pinapple head on the first panel of page 21 is HILARIOUS. Maybe he has heard of Thorfinn's past and wants to eliminate him before he stops being all PSTD? THOUGH IT MAY BE TOO LATE.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THORFINN TO PULL A THORS. He even is doing that breathing thing that his daddy did while fighting Askeladd's men, if I remember the earlier chapters correctly?
