i't funny how i keep picking up the phone to call you, then remember i can't. we were such close friends, i could tell you anything. i would defend you, risk my life for you, listen to you, talk to you. but now, you hate me, and i don't even remember why anymore. i remember being sad, i remember crying, i remember being hurt, but i can't recall the reasoning behind it all. i'll be reading a book, and see something that reminds me of you, and laugh, then twenty seconds later break down and cry because i know that it's all gone now. i've screwed up everything, and i know it's my fault, i don't deny that. i hate that no matter how hard i try, i can't hate you. i want to hate you so much, but i can't. i thought you understood, but i guess i didn't make things clear. i'm miserable. i've always been miserable. i was the girl who used to fall alseep crying in the back yard in the pouring rain. i hated life. but i didn't CARE. none of that mattered. sure, bad stuff happened, but i wasn't looking for sympathy, or help, or anything. i just wanted a FRIEND. and i had one. i had you. and that's all i needed. you were amazing, and fun, and perfect. but i screwed it all up, and i think about it every single day, and i regret it every single day. sometimes i'll write you a letter, or begin to type you an e-mail, or message you, SOMETHING. but i can't. i want to say goodbye, i want to let go, but i can't. i've always tried to hard to be your best friend, but i could never be as good as her. i want you to forgive me, but at the same time i don't. because that would be selfish of me, because if i break down again, you'll get hurt. it's one thing if i do, but if you do, it's wrong. so as i type this, just know, i'm sorry. i didn't mean to screw things up, but i could have told you from the beginning i would. it's just what i do. so please, don't get mad at me for this. please. and don't feel obligated to respond to this. i just couldn't not talk to you.
