What do you consider as an "anime"? There are those who believe that it should be only made in Japan, and that ones made in the USA are just American cartoons. But the problem with that is this: if you make a taco or pizza no matter where you are, it can still be called those names. So why can't you call it anime no matter where you are? I think it should be looked at as anime no matter where and who it was created by. People who argue about this should also think, if it was made by a japanese girl or guy in America or any where out of japan should it not be called Anime?
It is a style of art. Just like if someone who copies the great masters work is still considered to be that style no matter who painted it.
Its like calling bread made in other countries not bread.
