I don't know.. My great grandmother raised him more than me but he's still a friend. He was sick before he died. but if I'm not mistaken I see the another canary chick peck him to death with his intestine sticks out for some reason... :( (Sad)

May I offer some possible explanations?
The mating season for the canaries has just begun. During this season the males become extremely aggressive to the extent that, if they stay together, they can fight each other to death.
That's not the only explanation, though: in a couple male-female the male can be really violent. I heard about male canaries who killed their partner.
Were they both singing?

If I'm not mistaken, again I think the other canary chick is trying to "eat" him... Not until I scared them of (there's one of them carrying him with its beak but there are the others trying to steal him too. probably for food, of course.) but it's too late anyway. thanks for the explanations.
