i got married here in july. my wife (a finn) visited me in texas but we decided it would be best if i moved here for family support if we need it. we would be alone in texas since i don't really talk to my parents much or ask them for help. plus, it's a lot easier for me to get a residency permit in finland than it is for my wife to get a visa in the us. i had to make at least $40,000 a year, and that wasn't likely going to happen considering the job market was just beginning to make a comeback. the job market was flooded with web designers and no perm. designing jobs. i got a lot of offers for contract/freelance work - that's not going to make me 40k a year. i also just got my MS certification in Windows XP. lastly, my wife is not known for her patience lol.

the bunny belongs to someone in this neighborhood. i guess they let it run free. it was around alot in the yard here so one day i took a picture of it. it's so cute, fat, fluffy and eating. i had to seize that moment.

I love doing portraits of children, as long as they aren't those dull 'stiff' formal style traditional things so many people still ask for. Children have sooo many emotions and expressions. It's just *heaps* of fun to catch them. I never ask my child models to smile - they are more solemn and natural that way, I think
Anyway,

usually when i see children, they are annoying little shits or they are just, well, there.... that's the only thing i think of... the pics that you take of children gives them what is missing when i look at them... personality... they become little people (in my eyes)... and it's really a nice change
that little girl is going to be a hottie when she grows up
don't worry about talking too much, it's all good... thanks for taking these pics and giving someone like me another chance to look at something from a different perspective
