LOL Oh my goodness, this is so random but I feel SO silly girl! I just realized that the four deviations, three at the time, count as journals as well! I had no idea!

 

So I was searching everywhere for the mysterious three pictures, hahahah! And then today I saw "4 deviations" instead of three and I was like wait... OH MY GOODNESS! Journals count as deviations! I feel like such a derp. LOL

Speaking of journal entries, did you clear all those out, too?

Looks like you've truly started over, a new blank slate.  I can't wait to see new art from you! ^_^  Actually, any kind of update would be nice;  it's been a while since you warmed deviantART with your sunshine.

I know I haven't done anything that I can post on deviantART for the last few months either, but I'm working on a special project.  I'm building assets to make a web cartoon.

Aww yay! That makes me so happy!  It means so much to me! 

I wanted to start fresh so I actually cleaned out my gallery completely. I'm surprised my profile still says I have 3 deviations, lol! I'm like, "where?"  But anyway! It may be a month or so, possibly longer. I bought my new computer which I absolutely loveee & SAI is downloaded but my tablet (that I have had now for nine years) is outdated on my computer and I really want to get a new one. I'm looking into buying a Cintiq 13HD Creative Pen Display! They are extremely pricey so I am going to wait a few weeks and really make my final decision. I don't like to spend a lot of money all at once as it is (I'm a money hoarder lolol) and so I definitely wouldn't want to buy it spontaneously. 

But oh my goodness, I am strongly considering it! It's so beaaautiful!

Cintiq's are very nice!  I got mine about 4 years ago, and I still love using it.  

But I did into a small problem with it; I updated my graphics card, and the DVI-I (Female) connection on the Cintiq won't connect with the DVI-D (Male) on the Graphics card.  I had to get an adapter.

Mine was kind of old, so I didn't see this problem coming.   But if you get a modern Cintiq, and have modern graphics cards, you shouldn't run into the same problem I did.

A Cintiq was the best investment I made as a cartoonist!  It stands up to daily use, and hasn't failed on me yet!

That's awesome! I did hear about that! A lot of people tell others to buy adapters ahead of time so they aren't disappointed if they end up needing one to connect everything when their Cintiq arrives. lol! I'm not sure if I will run into the same problem. I will be using a brand new up-to-date windows desktop but I may just buy one just to be prepared if I do end up needing it.

I haven't made an official decision but I am definitely highly considering it because it has been my favorite choice so far. I'm not sure anything could top it; I really think I have my mind made up on it. Thank you so much for all of this information, I really appreciate it! And it's wonderful to hear from you!

Well, I'm glad that there are plenty of people around you to give that important piece of advice.  Compatibility with your existing hardware is always paramount when making a huge investment like that. ^_^

I understand you taking your time with this decision; it's very expensive commitment, and you don't want buyer's remorse.

ooooo wow! all of that sounds so awesome! Cintiq's are very smexy, I'm just so used to my Intuos, well just tablets that don't have a screen in general lol. Oh! but heads up for the Cintiq, there is a slight displacement from where your pen is and where your stroke starts. I'm not sure if the college had a strange calibration or if that's the way all Cintiqs are, it's just something I figured I'd let you know so if all Cintiq's are like that there will be a tiny learning curve to get used to it, because it doesn't have the precision of pencil to paper even though you'd expect it to.

Absolutely! Oh wow, I had no idea about that! I will definitely more into that to see if it is still an issue. I was looking into the Wacom Intuos 4, but that's when I also then stumbled onto the Cintiq! I am such a Wacom lover, lol! I can't thank you enough for giving me this information! I am so glad that I really think about things before I make decisions. LOL
