I liked Utawarerumono. It was kind of like an Asian drama, except it was anime. I would give it an overall average rating.
I have a friend who love Utawarerumono. She says it's like the best thing ever. She just likes it because she like the cute ears.

Yeah... Actually, five days for, um... Forty episodes is "slow", for me. I have way too much time in which to watch anime
I liked Utawarerumono, too--Though the ears weren't related to that XD
Are you familiar with Scrapped Princess? That's another one that starts out as a little light-hearted fantasy, and two thirds of the way through, you realize it's actually a post-apocalyptic giant-robot war, and that it was planned all along.

Ah. Scrapped Princess. Did you know that the makers of the opening song, Little Wing, is going to Otakon? I'm pretty excited to meet them when I get there.
You also realize that it take place way in the future where English is an ancient language that no one knows.
The ending left me speechless. In a bad way. Pacifica actually talks to god himself and decides not to destroy the world. Wtf is that?! I asketh you. Wtf is that?
No. But overall it's pretty good. Except for when she actually meets god. That was stupid.

The ending of Scrapped Princess was... I dunno. Badly executed, I have to say. I think they could have taken the same story, and done it better.
Then again, I think they could have used a slightly different story and it would have been even better, so there you go...

I'm fine. I'm in HangZhou, China right now studying Go. We rigorously training every day. My brain is completely fried. I'll probably be on once a week since we're staying in a hotel and we're not allowed to leave. I'm using my teacher's laptop. It's kind of lonely though. My studies end on the 20th. I'll have time to do stuff in China after that.

There is a veil thoughout the city of HangZhou for as long as I have been here. It's kinda creepy. I guess it's normal. There are lots of people and pollution in the large cities in China.

also what would be neat would be to be able to have time to be an otaku. life is so fast pace that you never have much time to stop and watch t.v., unless it is summer. lol. but for older poepel who have lives beyond school, there isnt mucuh time, what with a job and friends and bills and everyhting, i bet there isnt much time to just sit down for even thirty minutes a day...
oh and that anime you were tlaking about in your journal, is on toonami?? cause if it was good i might watch it. whats it about?? it must be a good show to be on toonami, i mean they only show about five shows or something, so their shows are some of the best out there.

It's about a person named Hikaru and he gets possessed by a person who plays Go. Have you ever played Go before? It's gotta be like one of the most famous board games there is. Second to only board games like chess and stuff. It was plaid thousands of years ago mostly in China, Korea, and Japan. It started a little west, and moved east to China. Then to Korea, then to Japan. The Chinese and the Japanese excelled in it like crazy. The Koreans are like WTF?! We heard of it before Japan and they're beating us! So they buckled down and started playing it!
