Awesome Indeed! I'mma ride him both styles Probably going to do some jumping with him just so I can learn jumping better at my stables and then do trails and gymkhana western. Might even do some dressage if I can talk my trainer into it

Yeah I've seen quite a few OTTBs at my stable hit top rankings. An OTTB is even one of the stables lesson horses for 5 year olds! They really can go any direction off the track.

Yeah, they can! My stable has two OTTBs, one of them is a patient schoolhorse and the other is pretty feisty, but she's an amazing jumper (she can jump more than four feet), and one of the instructors uses her for three day eventing.

Wow that's awesome! Four feet, dang! She could jump over my sister XD My friend doesn't like TB's at all and she's all giving me a list of stuff you can't do with them like she says no trail rides or jumping, I'm like.. dude... that's half of what they do xD Gotta love TB's, and they are usually well trained after being on the track.

I guess there's some truth to that, TBs can be a bit high strung and temperamental, and they usually haven't been exposed to trails or animals or whatnot. And you have to deal with stuff that comes with racing a young horse so early, like bad knees. But they can be trained, so.....We have a racetrack around our barn (it used to be a training center for TBs), so when we take our OTTBs to the track, we have to be careful because it's a racetrack, after all...they usually get fast and sometimes try to take off, but nothing we can't handle.

Yeah I get that, and also keep them away from gates opening suddenly to a dinging bell right? XD haha but yeah I know what you mean. This guy is 9 years old so I don't have to deal with as much of the not knowing anything but the track stuff because he's been on trails and such. Wow that's awesome that you have a racetrack! The arena we use for gymkhana and stuff has a racetrack that Seabiscuit trained on originally so we go out there sometimes and race our friends, I'll have to be careful with him XD

yeah, it is really cool! We usually go there after lessons and do a lap to cool off our horses.
