I was 10 years old in 1979, and what I am seeing today is what I saw then. Honest people, wishing nothing more than an honest life, and the freedom that is the right of every human! I see no difference between the Shah's brutality of the people in the 1970s, and the current government's brutality of the people now! To me, I see Iranians punishing Iranians for their attempt at making Iran a free, and just country. The people of Iran do not fight just for their own freedom, but for the freedoms of those who would support the oppressors! No man has the right to control how a person feels, or thinks, or votes! The government says the votes are legitimate after one day, when it took the US 2 months in 2000 to verify our own voting dispute. The government tells lies that are contrary to what the world sees, in some hope that if they keep telling the lies, the people will start to believe it! What's even worse, the government says that the lies are the will of Allah, when the Koran tells any who would read, that such things are a blasphemy! How can they do that, and think that nobody will notice? How can they be so corrupt, and cruel to their own brothers and sisters, and yet claim they are holy?
The blood of the innocent is on the hands of those who treated peaceful demonstration with violence! The blood of Neda is on the hands of those who claimed her life in the name of their lies against their own people!
The Aryan people were born a strong people, a free people, who carved out their land to be their own, and through their strength, they will be free again! Your country survived the Assyrians, The Babylonians, the Greeks, the Mongols, the Arabs, the English, Iraq, and all enemies that ever sought to enslave you. Your country will triumph even this!
The world stands beside you.

You honor me!
I have spent a long time learning history from all over the world, and especially the stories of cultures. The stories of people are what helps for understanding. We can understand the history, and the culture through the stories. We can understand why people do what they do. My favorite stories have always been Persian. Many stories that Americans think are Arab, are actually Persian. I have always loved Persian culture, and Persian art, and I tried to learn as much as I could about where it comes from. I speak with people from Iran, and I find them to be warm, and caring people. When I was growing up, I would be taught to hate, and I could not understand why I should hate someone who wants the same things that everybody wants. Everybody wants a good life for their families. Peace, and security, and love are more than just words. So I took it upon myself to learn.
I learned the history of Iran. Where the Shah came from, and why. The people were justified in his exile. The current regime is no better, and so the people are justified in their outrage.
There is a saying in America that comes from our own Revolution. "When the government fears the people, it is time to fear the government."
Change can be made, and freedom is worth fighting for. Freedom is worth living for! A martyr can inspire, true, but, a martyr cannot live for the freedom won, nor can a martyr speak for that freedom. Freedom is won by the living.
Remember, some may try to say that it is the will of God to suppress the masses, but God did not pull the trigger, and God did not drop the bombs on the civilians... men did.
For a corrupt man to say his actions are the will of Allah, is the same as that man accusing Allah of their own crimes, and that is a blasphemy by their very own rules they pretend to believe. Satan does not represent the word of God.
On a non religious note, they are simply men suppressing the people, and lying to them... and it will be the people speaking out with their voices, to their oppressors, and to the world, that will eventually effect change.
In 1979, and evil dictator was ousted from Iran. The people were strong then, and they are strong now.
The Persian people... the IRANIAN PEOPLE are strong, and come from a strong culture, and it is my belief that they will triumph over tyranny, as they have so many times in the past.
It is my hope that your people will effect that change without anymore losses. That you will all come out of this in victory, and strength.
Here in America, we have had many demonstrations in the streets in support of your plight. I can walk outside in my city, and see people wearing green in support of freedom. There are people here that are behind you. There were demonstrations in New York, and in Los Angeles, and even in my own city, San Diego. I have been hearing news reports of demonstrations in other countries as well.
Know in your heart, the people of Iran do NOT stand alone!
The world has seen the photos of the protesters in your country helping one of the police sent to harm you, to safety after he was injured... and the people of the world have seen the brutality repaid by the government forces... the people of the world have seen the videos of Neda, and innocent girl passing by, brutally gunned down by a government force that places so little value on their own people... heir own sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters... it is clear in the eyes of the world who is right, and who is corrupt.
I have heard of people all over... not just Islam, but other religions as well, holding prayer vigils for the people of Iran.
Regardless of what one believes, it says something that the people would do that.
