# About me

My name is Wally. 31 year old American Who just returned from Afghanistan. Save me the political Riff-Raff. I don't want to hear your views here. I'm a scout from a Nat guard unit based in Las Vegas NV.

I love taking pictures. Always have since my Dad lent me his 1969 35mm Minolta. That was over 15 years ago. I am self taught in Photography. Never in my life took a class. In fact I teach many others willing to learn about ISO, film speeds, f-stops, etc. I own a home portrait studio set as my new passion. Most of my stuff I have never posted here on DA. They consist mostly of Landscapes, Sunsets, Sunrises, and a ton of Military photo journalism. Just got my first macro lens. =) taking pictures for such a long time, I have already generated endless ideas for photos.

your very welcome and i would imagine.i live in the back country of the northern utah mountains near park city ski resort . we get alot of lightning all year but its usually blocked by the surrounding mountains so when it comes through i dont get much time for set up to take pics of the lightning .

Thanks! The funny thing was, I was just taking a picture of the lighting and one of the other soldiers strolled in the darkness into my picture. I then waited for more of them... and took this pic.
