What do I think "what" means?...
"Holding stale air"? If so, I think it's metaphorical to our lives when we are in trying situations and we want to cry for help--to exhale, like everyone else, and then someone helps us (perhaps that's to obvious or vague) or someone literaly was in a ship reck or something like that (now that would be tooooo obvious for your type of writing )

Have you written a short story yet?! I know it would be cool! Five paragraphs, you shouldn't be too busy for five...

A grecan king named Tantalous was intrusted with secrets from Zesus. Tantalous betrayed his confidence and so Zesus sent him to a river (name???) in the Underworld. Tanalous was forced to walk in this river with heavy ladden fruit trees above him. Whenever Tantalous tried to take a drink the river would recede. And whenever he wans hungry and reached for a fruit, the branch would lift just above his reach. Thus was coined the word and meaning of tantalizewe from Greek myth of Tantalous who was truly "tantalized"...
