Why Etched Glass?
Fragile as Glass. What a strange concept. If you have ever held a piece of solid glass in your hand, I'm sure you've noticed its weight. The smooth, cool heaviness of it. With the right force, you could kill someone with a glass paperweight. Yet, drop it just right, and it will shatter in a million crystalline pieces.

Etched Glass. A beautiful art form, a way to forever emboss something into a piece of beautiful transparent permanence. Fragile. Solid. Transparent. Perhaps that best describes my sometimes art. Myself sometimes as well. When all the barriers come down, when the day is over and I am by myself, free to be myself, my soul easily becomes as exposed, as vulnerable, as a piece of-

Hey there,

I just discovered a picture of my Migidoll Miho on TUMBLR via a link from a friend and have been directed to you as its creator.

As much as I am entirely flattered for it’s posting there amongst so many talented artists and indeed am somewhat grateful for the rarity of use of a link back to my DA page, I am somewhat irritated. For if I wished for my photography to be placed upon that ludicrous cesspool of meme, copyright infringing, band wagon hopping children I would have deigned to post it there myself.

It is not my favoured place upon the tubes of the internet for a multitude of reasons and the very fact it was posted without asking permission…. saddens me somewhat.

It’s an admirable pursuit to make a conglomeration of works you think have some merit or beauty but please, love, maybe start asking before you run the risk of rubbing people considerably up the wrong way.
