navy - party 24/7 with 500 dudes and maybe 1 girl on a boat in the middle of nowhere.

no way.... airforce... never become a pilot.... to many aplicants.... once i get my aeronautical science degree... and get my college paid for i go into officer training.... then... fly heli's.... but i have seriously thought about airforce...

one of the most common misconceptions is that in the airforce everybody is a pilot. EHHHHHHHHH wrong.

my job right now is a videographer. i film things like change of command ceremonies, troops returning from Iraq, awards, openings of stores, etc etc. then i edit, put it together into a movie and turn it in to the client. no planes involved.

if i end up being an officer i'm going to get either a history or business degree qualifying me as an expert on Indonesia. then i'll be like a diplomat/translator for the US to Indo. no planes involved.

um ive been thinking... and ime looking into airforce... but yeah.. want i ment by "i would never become a pilot" was that i wouldnt have as good a chance to become a pilot.... yeah... and the airforce has more women so thats a plus....

things are good.. staying busy.. still getting used to work etc.

one thing about the height reqs, i know a pilot thats 6'3. Its depends on how high u sit in the cockpit rather than how tall u stand actually.

dude... (well your not a dude but...) yeah... ime sure real life could be harder.. but right now... ime looking at a class that if i fail will mean i wont get to fly for another semester... or year... so ile prob change my major if that happens.. and its really difficult to decide wether or not i want to keep my major up.

But yeah... i worked this summer... and i personly would rather just start my carreer and be done... work is easy... you know what your supposed to do and you do it.. and you get payed for it... (its fun)... shcool is the opposite... you show up not knowing what it is your supposed to do and do it.... and you have to pay for it.... personaly i think shcool is just as real or more real than real life... in fact it is... however if i was still in highschool nat making decisions that would affect the outcome of my life i could enjoy it.....

real life is harder.... ime glad i have been given a chance to make it better... but if i dont keep my GPA up.... i could screw up my real life forever.... in aviation... you have 4-5 years to learn how to fly... and get your ratings.. and then you have 2 years to find a job.... after that your chances of being hired... are signifigantly less....

ime rambling... but at least i have someone to talk to.... thanks for the encouragement.... ime not really worried about school.... ime worried about all the crap afterwards if it dont do well...

yeah thats totaly it.... if i join the airforce with a degree in aeronautical science i still might not be a pilot--(i really want to be a pilot)-- and there is the hieght thing... having to be 5-10 when ime 6-3.... kinda garentees i will never fly fighter jets (which broke my heart when i heard it).... i still have a chance in cargo/helicopters... and a slight chance if ime 198 pounds that i can fly fighters in the navy...

Ime working towards missions... so if i can get free flight time with the military... and get there discipline and experiance.. it would be great... but yeah... i really want to fly planes... its so part of me... i would cry if i joined the military and ended up never flying...

thats really cool about your job right now.... awsome...
