DAVID, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

I see posts of mine from 2004! Anyways, I wanted to stop by and wish you a good holiday season and New Year. It's almost the end of my third year here and I also wanted to tell you how much your constant support meant to me. I always enjoyed your humor and hope you're still writing. In any event, I hope you are doing well. Next time you come around this part of the internet, give me a shout out.

Sterling

Not to worry, those backgrounds aren't *meant* to make sense! I don't even plan 'em, I just sit in front of my comp and throw some shapes around until I make something that could pass as a bg... Hey, it worked for Pollock. Sorta. He wound up gassing himself eventually. O___o Oh dear. >__> *Cough*

Ahem anyway, like I complained about on Mirkah's page, uni's been eating me from the ass-side up so many apologies for not getting back to you sooner! This is just one of two reply-to-DA-messages-NOW breaks I've given myself, the second one will be had next wednesday when I can scab free net connection from uni... And this time I won't set off an alarm in the comp lab. But hey, the door was OPEN. O____o *Sniff* Oh well, dinner's on and that means my break is going to be over soon... -__- back to the books for me then, and I'll talk to you again when it's stopped raining textbooks!

Not too bad. Trying to survive this onslaught brought on my deviantMOBILE and the change to the TOS. Trying to just sit back and let the whole thing play out around me. Hopefully things will quiet down soon.

I should really get around to writing some journal entries to keep people updated like you've been doing. I imagine that helps, eh?

BAAAAAAHHHH thanks a lot Draco, you spotted the cig colouring error and knowing it was there drove me crazy so I went back and re-edited it!!! You are one of maybe three or four people I know of who could pull off an observational stunt like that. X___x *Dies* There was nothing I could do about the smoke direction though since I didn't save a backup file with that layer, so I'm gonna have to live with that one... and forgive my cig drawings, I don't smoke so I have no idea what the butts look like when they're squished, LOL. *Stab in the dark* (Actually, now that I think about it they go all flat, right...? Hmmm. Β¬__Β¬)

Glad you like how my cel shading is turning out too, it's definitely easier on the hand then my ink shading style... hmm, yes, the joke will definitely be lost on people who don't full view that pic because the thumbnail doesn't make the visual or verbal punchline visible, darn resizing. See, I need something bold and in your face like that smoking-eye pic you gave me, thumbnails can't hurt pics like that! Oh and your retinas haven't healed, they've just gotten stronger that's all! See the good that I've done? (Okay, maybe not. )

So you survived this round of shinies eh??? Trust me, one day you'll be thanking me for getting your eyeballs to evolve into the big balls of steel that they now are.... and ohhhhhh that sounded quite bad so I'll cut off that train of thinking right about... *counts*... NOW. So then g'day Draco, it's coming up to three months since I've last poked your page so it's about bloody time I got around to doing just that! *Accidentally breaks off some plaster* O___O;; I didn't do it, honest. *Coff* ANYway, thankyou for the comment on 'In the sky with diamonds' and knowing the combined observational skills of you and Mirkah, you'd have definitely seen those mangled birdy feet even if I HAD forgotten to mention it so I thus didn't really do much to try and take preventative measures! Ho hum well, I have to get going now and pack some bags since I'm going out of town for a few days (endless car driving, hooray >__> so take care man!! *Summons a shower*

My friend Caxitos was holding a "steel straw" the thing we use to watch heavy durty dishes. He putted fire in the thing and started rolling the arms. he is crazy... He said next time he is going to put fire in his hand for a second and put the hand in the water.

It's going to be a cool shot.

Koolaid man's time has come and gone. Now is the era of the Funky Chickenβ„’.

Out of curiosity, what MUD do you play?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

draco490 In reply to barnabus [2004-07-15 04:02:17 +0000 UTC]

I play Dragonrealms and City of Heroes currently. City of Heroes isn't really a MUD, but they both are MMORPGs.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

barnabus In reply to draco490 [2004-07-15 04:21:19 +0000 UTC]

Dragonrealms looks interesting. Maybe I should try it out sometime.

I play City of Heroes as well, though not very often. I created a gigantic, axe-wielding medieval warrior named "Lord Huggington". I makes the peoples fall down.

When it comes to MUDs and MMORPGs, I consistently come back to Kobra MUD. I love that game. You can check out its description and reviews over at [link] , but I like it mainly because its incredibly easy to navigate despite its immense size, there are lots of other players who aren't assholes, no movement points, no "rent" system, and none of that "if you don't eat and drink constantly you pass out and die" bullshit.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

draco490 In reply to barnabus [2004-07-18 02:43:11 +0000 UTC]

I'll have to check that out. I've played a lot of MUDs and have stuck with Dragonrealms for a long time, several years in fact. But I don't really play MUDs for the game itself anymore. It's really about the social interaction. Kinda backwards secluding yourself in a room alone to play a game where you intend to interact with people, but what can ya do?

You know that I'd never stop reading one of your comments just to not hear your customary complaints - your pain is my pain, after all! And er, believe it or not, it actually happened this time... when putting in the light effects, I was literally blinded by dancing spots in front of my eyes which completely addled my head. XD XD IT BEGINS!!!! O____O;;; *Shriek*

Okay okay, so you were right. *Grumble* Keep that monitor setting dimmed nice and low while 'Bark and Brambles' sits murderously on your page... Β¬__Β¬ it wants our eyes, dammit! Our precious eyes!!! *Wails* And what ho, I'm in full rambling mode after losing my voice for two days... don't ask me what the connection is between the voice and typing because I have no idea. Logic is non-existant in the world of post-uni holidays, yes indeed. I'm starting to scare myself. ANYway, thankyou once again for your unique Draco observations, and I'm truly honoured that you added the piccy to your favs list! Keep it well fed, lest it hunts.... for EYES....

G’day Draco, howz the light treating you today? Hee hee, your complaints about the wallpaper were spot on actually – ever since putting that thing on my desktop, I’ve had to dim my monitor settings, otherwise I’d be getting that funny recurring burn-back image in my retinas, y’know, the type you get after starting at the sun for too long? *I speak from experience* I must be an optical sadist, why do I put my eyes (and others’!) through such punishment?

Well, I’m really happy to hear that you liked how the wallpaper and ID turned out, although I’m copping some flak about the ID and how I used a filter on it… Oh well, nothing that two years of boring art theory can’t handle. *Prepares her philosophical arguments* Anyway, my shoulder is killing me from two days of typing, so I’d better get going – the last thing I need is for my limbs to get effected on top of all the usual shinies! *Salutes you* <----- and look!!! It’s like DA heard my implied prayer for a salute smiley!! But still, nothing beats a good ol’ headbang eh?
