Ah, thanks for the compliment. Too bad that seems to be negative quite often on this site.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-05 23:10:02 +0000 UTC]

How so? I though that this was an artist's area.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-05 23:13:09 +0000 UTC]

Well, usually 'artists' on this site usually include whiny teenage children who write poems about how much their parents hate them, and draw shitty manga.

Of course, I can't say much. I don't have art.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-05 23:17:45 +0000 UTC]

Nah, you can find good stuff here, you just have to dig a little deeper. To be honest, your point of view is a bit superficial, believe me, I've been there.
Now, I'd say that art is just a product of your emotions, a feeling badly or well expressed. literature is a form of it, I would definitely not exclude it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-06 21:49:18 +0000 UTC]

True.

But some people make HORRID art. I have no problem with the less skilled, I have a problem with the less skilled who think they can go and write a best seller or create the next Shonen Jump.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-06 23:09:08 +0000 UTC]

Oh, screw that, if you get mad over every pretentious kid you come across, you'll lose your mind. Just keep doing your own thing and ignore the majority

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-06 23:10:37 +0000 UTC]

I suppose.

I'm already losing my mind however. I have to make a note to myself to NEVER post my political opinions on DA, especially when it involves not referring Romney to an evil child-molester.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-06 23:16:48 +0000 UTC]

Lol, DA isn't the place for political discussions, neither is any place, time and person, if you ask me.
I'm not particularly a fan of politics.. It's all irrelevant lies and bullshit if you ask me.

oh, no, my schedule's too tight. I'm too busy... doing... food?
So, besides writing, you do other things?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-07 22:15:24 +0000 UTC]

Food. I love food.

But besides writing, I do 3D animation, (On a very, very basic level however,) read, and play an unhealthy amount of video games.

I really don't do very much, to be honest.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-07 22:19:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh, nice, what games? I'm pretty much a game lover myself, the only thing that keeps me apart from 'em is my shitty computer. But I get by on playing on sites that are specifically made for that ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-08 00:16:44 +0000 UTC]

Ah, a shitty computer is no barrier.

You can build a really decent rig for under 300 bucks, assuming you can assemble a computer. You can always find a guide online, or buy an already decent computer and upgrade certain parts, like I did, replacing memory, the video card, etc.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-08 17:54:43 +0000 UTC]

oh, problem is I have a laptop.. I considered replacing my graphic card but, atm, it's too expensive for me.. plus, I'm no programmer, and I'm not from the states... one day, for certain. c: what do you play?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-08 21:14:33 +0000 UTC]

What does having to be from the States do with anything?

Eh, but I usually play more story-oriented, strategy games. Like the Total War series, Age of Empires, Sins of a Solar Empire, Walking Dead, Fire Emblem, KS, Ib, ARMA 2, Knights of the Old Republic, Men of War, Mass Effect, etc.

I'm also a fan of some faster paced FPS, TPS, etc.

I play a lot of story-oriented games for a similar reason I read, because I want to grow an attachment to the characters in the game. Some shooter games can fulfill this, like Gears of War, but not many are known for their beautiful storylines or convincing characters. I'm also a huge fan of JRPG games, due to their more story-oriented design, while WRPGs are usually more based upon the actual game itself, and not the characters or plot that make it.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-08 21:24:52 +0000 UTC]

Wow.. I've never met someone who loves RPG so much! Mass Effect is and always will be my favorite! But we differ in FPS.. Never really interested me, honestly.. I'm surprised you didn't mention games like 'Prototype' or 'Assassin's Creed' 'Portal' etc..
paragon or renegade?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-09 00:45:08 +0000 UTC]

Portal was also a great game. It did slightly annoy me a bit, but I can definitely say I was hooked. The only bad thing about Portal 2 was that it was more focused on saying, "Hey, look at this! BIG FUCKING CAVERN." Rather than focusing on the story, or the actual point of Portal, just a bunch of puzzles and dry humor.

Assassin's Creed... Eh. I loved it up to Revelations, but it does get bland. I don't play it for anything other than the story, and I'm annoyed with 3 being in the American Revolution.

I would have loved for it to take place in China, because Ezio's little animated movie that was officially sponsored or something had a Chinese assassin visiting him, trying to form her own Creed in her homeland.

But no-, AMMURRRICA. I'm surprised they didn't glorify Ben Franklin, Washington, etc like so many American things tend to do.

That robot piece of shit annoyed me so much... there were times when I just wanted to punch my monitor.. But it was quite humorous, if you ask me.. I very much enjoyed it
Yes.. that disappointed me.. But, I guess everything today revolves around money and doing something completely different would not fly by as well... I find it very sad that being 'commercial' actually gets people somewhere.. Although, it is the 18th century we're talking about, maybe it won't be as bad.. Seeing that it's Ubisoft's production, I doubt that I'll be disappointed.. I just hope that they don't take it too far. By the way, isn't the name Liberation? Or is it just my lost head..?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ShadowyEclipse In reply to disheveledloan [2012-11-09 23:44:22 +0000 UTC]

I did enjoy it too, but I feel like it lost purpose.

I gave up all hope for anyone affiliated with EA, (Egocentric Ass-holes,) especially Mass Effect 3.

Oh god, they did EVERYTHING in Mass Effect 3 wrong. Fucking Bioware.

But anyway, AC3 is just called AC3. The only ones with additional names are Revelations and Brotherhood, which are like addons to AC2.
It's a sad turn the game industry is taking now.

disheveledloan In reply to ShadowyEclipse [2012-11-10 01:37:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh, dear god, I wouldn't say it was THAT bad... I will forever be loyal to EA, they made Harry Potter... And it's like my childhood game... and book... and movie.. XD No matter how big scumbags they turn into, I won't be able to hate them!
Oh, so that's how it is.. hmh, I don't know why and where I got the idea..
In any case, it's a good thing that you'll always have classics. I just hope that they don't push it over the edge.. I almost broke my window when I heard that WoW's new expansion is about pandas. For god's sake people. PANDAS. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love pandas but... really..? They had so many badass characters.. I was so excited when they announced the sequel.. but everything just dropped dead as soon as I heard what it revolves around. Ugh
