Thanks for the comment on Ionic. I'm not quite sure where the inspiration for that piece came from. The idea for the hair and angle had been kicking around inmy head for a while. And *iony and I were working on something together, and she was using beautiful green and violet shades. I thought those colors would fit well with the image.

Yes, I believe I can do more sports photography. Summer is coming up soon and the skating rink near my place should be open soon.....so cross your fingers, hopefully I will shoot something good again!

Hey, thanks for the comment on Avalon . It is just basically a collage of several photos I toook in the course of my travels thruought South India. It looks like a half-eaten piece of something because in the top-right hand corner is a piece of lemon peel.

Thanks for the comment! No, I've never had any classes, though I would love to get a degree in photography. I've been taking photos since I was a kid and for a long time I just took snapshots, until I was about 16. That's when I realized that some of my photos were pretty okay and I was suddenly filled with the desire to just go outside and take photos of everything. I looked at objects in a different angle, nothing was ordinary any more. I worked with a little point and shoot camera, it had a good lens and by using that I learnt a lot about light, composition, angle and perspective. It had a zoom and I could overexpose photos by 1.5. I could also turn the flash off, which I did a lot. Ordinary camera flash ruins too many good photos. So anyway, the camera was a little bit better than your average point and shooter, but I wanted more. So last year I got my slr, which I love to bits. I still shoot with the other one, but right now I've given it to my boyfriend to play with. Tips? Read photography books or magazines, go out and experiment and visit DA a lot! I've only been here since August of last year, but I've learnt so much by just looking at the photos here and by reading the forums. Gosh, I've written too much
