nope im no way related to that mike pfaff.. there are so many pfaffs around.. its very unlikely at least.
bout that paradox in your journal - thats an old paradox which plato was the first to write down in one of his books - but he made a fault. ill try to make this fault obvious through a few questions:
- how comes the man can pass the halfpoints? actually.. by making one step he already passed endless halfpoints of an endless number of distances.
- what about the time that passes during the man walks? plato forgot to incorporate the time into his paradox. and if you look at the times, you see that, while the distances between the halfpoints shrink the time needed to get from one halfpoint to the next shrinks aswell. in the end the time needed to pass the last of an endless number of halfpoints is endlessly small.
