PeachCold, white light; cold, white walls. A table, a chair, a hard bed, and a bolted door. Childhood only a jumbled mess of pieces, songs and colors: excitement, joy, terror, and warmth, that has been all replaced by this empty, boring, bland rectangular room. Not even the echoes of her own voice to answer the nagging questions that surface at night. Just the rhythm of night and day, and the trays of food - full in, empty out, with even eating becoming more of a habit than a need. The waiting. What's the use of the table if they have denied her a pen and a notebook? She kept asking for them for days, but eventually grew weary of the routine rejection. The only thing that sort of breaks the boredom is her own delicate finger playing with herself, until she grows sore and numb to any further stimulation.
She knows what she's waiting for, and it will soon come. That day is special - it begins with a special meal, that reminds her of home. Then the doctor checks upon her. And then, she can fin

Hope you missed most of the weather in FL. We were at ND game and returned to GA. early to beat the storm...that never happened. But got 2 days off so got some down time.Β

We got all of my family out in time. No trouble, just a lot of driving. Looks like my cousins are okay with minor property damage but my uncle's place is still flooded without an update. Nobody got hurt at least.

Glad everyone got out OK. We got back Sunday night and we surprised to see so many FL. evacuees in our N. Georgia area. Somehow the storm died off before hitting us with the 75 mph winds and 7 inches of rain expected.Β
