hi there. love the gallery. comin' here from your website via a 4chan add. wondering how you make your shirts. not so much the art, but the fabrication. do you make them individually with iron-on print outs, or do you go through a company like cafepress?
π: 0 β©: 1
crispygecko In reply to everfalling [2007-08-28 19:44:16 +0000 UTC]
hallo! sorry it took forever for me to respond; these comments don't show up on my message page so i usually miss them.
right now i'm working with a local printer (falloutsheltersf.com) who screenprints all of my tees for me. iron-on print outs are great for making a few tees, but the result's never as soft or as flexible as a screenprint, and i think the color fades more quickly. i've tried a couple places online, yea, but i much prefer working with a local printer (that said, though, customink.com was my favorite of the online places i tried).

Awesome gallery. I saw your work from unicorn hamburger from another site from another site.
It's like an Escher painting, but filled with URLs instead.

i've actually seen your stuff on wanderingpanda before - i think someone in the ucberkeley lj community linked to your weekly comic thing in their journal, and then i hopped to your main site from there. mr. goh rocks (:

Hey, it was fancy meeting you at APE. I will wear your superawesome Goldilocks shirt with great pride, and all who see it will be envious. -- Can't wait until "Let's Be Friends" is available. (Which, by the way, would make a great print to sell at APE next time. You could sell ten of Friends and Goldilocks each, I'm sure.)

Yeah, I think it only notifies you of replies, but not the initial post. I dunno. I love it when people don't think of the simplest things when they build stuff. (Today is new comics day. Excited to go to Comic Relief after my lunch break. Not that I'm buying anything, but still. Woo!)

Hee. Oh, uh, thank you. I just had it tied back that day. You know, the easy way to deal with bed head. I probably need a hair cut, though, don't I? I think may be a bit too long now (though people keep convincing me not to cut it).

deviantart is poopy and doesn't notify me about non-specific-art-piece comments! that is why this reply is late. ):
but yea, it was awesome meeting you in person! i'm superglad you like the shirt. a couple of other people mentioned prints, too, so maybe next year. yay!

...And then I love how it posts out of order because I didn't specifically "REPLY" to your post. Fine, user error, I will concede. But still, a less obtuse design might help. Sheesh.
