Don't be so hard on yourself. I got F in Math on quizzes twice, and I'm in Honors. But I did some extra credit, so my overall grade is still an A! Just keep trying, eventually something good will happen ;D

Lemme cheer you up with this report on art I have to do:
"I did my project on art. Why? Because even though I'm not big on art, it's still important to me. My art may be just just drawings colored with crummy Crayola colored pencils, but it's still important, even if it's not much. Why? Because someday, those scraps of paper with doodles and Crayola colored pencil marks on them will eventually get me somewhere. And when I'm drawing I forget about everything, and I just focus on what I'm doing. It's just the paper 'n me.
What does this have to do with voice? Everything. When you speak, you always speak in some sort of tone. If you're mad, your voice is either suppressed to keep in the anger, or loud when you just wanna let it all out. In art, it's basically the same thing. If I happened to be angry while I was drawing something, my pencil strokes would most probably be hard, the lines dark, because I have nowhere else to vent, except the poor paper. Voice has everything to do with art.
I'm required to tell you how this project developed my writer's voice. It's done everything. Before, I brushed off art, just like you guys, for just paintings on canvas, drawings, and nothing more. But when I was through with this project, I came out knowing art is important to me, and that it should be to others too, because art is the origin of almost all the things people are into these days. The clothing you wear is some kind of art. Those moves you show off at school dances are a form of art. The music you hear on the radio is a form of art. Art's everywhere. I know the majority of you underestimate art and its meaning. Even I overlook art sometimes too. I could see that when Ms. Rizzo asked us to get into groups based on what topics we chose. There's only four people doing their project on art. But you gotta understand, art is important. Music and dancing is considered an 'art'. You'll notice that phrases like 'The art of . . .' are used a lot. So next time you think art is unimportant, remember, turfing and crunk and the Shopping Cart is considered an art too.
Take my friend Nathan Tan for example. He's a successful business person stationed in the basement of his home in San Francisco. He produces some of the coolest art. But not only is he a great artist, he designs clothing for his own clothing line, called New Skool. He incorporates music with art into his designs. If you've noticed, I'm wearing my white headphone shirt that I got from Nate. See how he combines art and music, with an end result that's simple yet stylish and cool? That's what art could be. I'm sure when you guys hear art, you think of Picasso and the Mona Lisa and all those paintings from waaaay back in the day. But modern art could appeal to you guys too. Think about it."
