That did helped a lot , so thriller style but not to graphic . I aint saying im going to produce anything amazing , but yeah ill keep in touch . This Chain Knife , I got a good idea of what it shoud look like, one on each arm that can shoot out direct at someone at a fair distance but is also usful in its flexability in the chain for close combat, but yeah ill try.

Well my intention is to make the comic as realistic as possible
but still have an interesting storyline that remains fiction.

Ok on the chain knife this should help you out

[link]

The chain knife is only in one arm. You know those yellow measuring tape dispensers and how they can retract really
fast? Imagine that same principal applied to a knife attached
to a chain. That's basically one way his weapon works.

If you think about all the ways it can be "useful" you'll see
how it is kind of fitting for the type of guy Lawrence is.
However at the same time it is obviously EXTREMELY dangerous
to the user if handled wrong (as any weapon can be though.)

Most of the time Lawrence would have the rest of the knife sheathed away in his sleeves and the chain would be making
a sorta of "U" shape in his sleeve. If he needs to use it
he unsheathes the knife using his other hand and throws
it almost like a throwing knife except that he doesn't lose it.

Some things I'm not actually sure on because I haven't really
seen that many "chain knifes" in real life (I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not the first person to have come up with it.)
Anywho, I gave a guessitimate on how the knife should be.
So I dunno if I made anything too unrealistic.

Ok the knife's blade is 4 inches long. It is a combat knife and
unfoldable. (Though it can be sheathed). The idea is that knife
be long and sharp and strong enough to do serious damage but not break during every time it is used. Also it should be able
to be sheathed away and hidden in the sleeves of a long sleeve
shirt or jacket without bulging out too much and making it appear obvious.

I had that the chain extends up to 10 feet but is most effective at 5 feet. I dunno if this is too far or too short.
The idea is that it is a short to mid-range weapon depending
on how far the chain is extended and of course the knife can
be used as a regular combat knife.

Also I was never quite sure on the type of chain that he should use so I decided that bicycle chain would be good.
Bicycle chains seem fairly strong and wouldn't break under
pressure. The chain should be flexible but also strong.
The chain itself can be used as a weapon in a multitude of ways. Actually one thing I was going to have in the comic
is that Lawrence actually steals some persons's bicycle chain
when he gets the idea to make his weapon.

Of course you don't have to draw the chain knife.
But it's a pretty major part of his character so
I thought I'd explain it.

A suit and tie or long sleeve button up shirt. It doesn't need or should be GQ magazine classy.
But he should be wearing decent clothes. Pretty much he should be able to walk around with getting
too many people staring at him...if only his face wasn't covered in bandages and he gave the evil
eye to just about everyone who passes him bye (he often glares at people to make them feel comfortable when he's not in a position to just kill them. Actually he's not really glaring but
since he has really dark and cold eyes it feels that way. In short he makes children cry.)

The street thug style wouldn't seem to fit his personality.

I wouldn't say he's "all about business" because he would be killing people even if he didn't get
paid but he has the mentality of "well if I'm killing people I might as well get paid."

In any case if he has chain knife on him he HAS to be wearing long sleeves because otherwise
the pulley-device strapped to his arm (that retracts and releases the chain like a measuring tape
dispenser) would be seen. He has to be somewhat sneaky when he uses it (which he is.)
In any case it's easier to draw with long sleeves since you don't actually have to draw the
pulley-device but rather just the chain going inside his sleeve and then it's implied to be there.
