Haha no. I just turned thirteen. Sorry need to update that. I am not really familiar with this deviantart thingy yet. You are not bad for fourteen, but keep drawing. I still admit that I'm pretty bad. More like amateur. I got good by drawing a lot intesively, so if you do a lot of drawing, then you'll be good too.

I honestly don't know whether to take that "you'll be good too" part as an insult or tip...when I read it it kind of stung since I DO draw alot

I've worked hard to get where I am and I was proud of my improvements but after reading that I don't know anymore LOL but whatever, not like I held myself up on a pedestal to begin with

Haha. no I didn't mean it in that way. Sorry, I'm really bad at expressing myself with words and all that, this happens a lot of times. I meant that you are really good already, but keep up the good work and you'll improve even more dramatically. Doesn't mean we're on that pedestal we stop growing in drawing, we keep doing it, nobody's perfect so we all have to strive for our maximum potential. I'm still trying to get better myself, I'm not as good as a lot of people, so I'm trying to catch on to the line here. A lot of people tell me stuff like that, so I'm used to it. That's how we artists become better... I guess. Lol.

That's right! Everything you said is completely correct, and very well put. No one's perfect to begin with! No one just stop improving, it's an interminable process. You hit the target perfectly with that comment

YAY! You finally got this message! I was really worked up when I saw you post your comment, and I don't like to be a jerk when it comes to art. I mean seriously. Come on. This is an art-friendly website. It's okay to feel insecure at times, but as time goes on, you may find yourself to become more confident and take some pride. I've got to admit, I was also really insecure when I started last year too, a lot of peeps were far better and said "I practice a lot" and so on and so forth. And that kinda bothered me too. So, I kinda just started to pick up the practicing pace, and now I'm probably better off now. 

So, let's improve together! 

BTW, if you want, we could do an art trade and critique each others work. I do that with my cousin and it really helps. XD!

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was at bandcamp all last week from 9am to 9pm so I couldn't get on the interwebz I was so tired and sore every night I could barely muster to crawl into bed but atleast now I have this sexy tan LOL

Yeah! This is an art-friendly place, it should stay that way! I like the way you think~! 

and yeah, that's the same for me~ I would ask people for help with my art and they'd just shrug their shoulders and say things like, "Practice alot" and "stick with it!" 

I'd get kinda mad because it felt like they were just cutting corners and keeping their stash of art tips to themselves when I needed them more haha but once I felt they years pass by and my sketchbooks were full i understood what they meant, practicing does make progress!

Aw yeah~ *links arms* let's do this thing and become more awesome!   

And an art trade sounds great! I love getting critiques, so why not~

Yeah. I don't want to be a huge jerk about everything and I don't see why not for sharing work and critiques. Who knows? You could be helping someone become the next bestseller in the manga industry!

They do have a point when they say "Practice." I think that's the only way to get better, but for me, it's not really "practice 24/7" its more like "perfect practice". I improve by focusing on one skill such as hair and styling or hands for a week or month, then move on to another skill. 

I understand the part about bandcamp. I just don't really feel like going to camps these days anymore, I feel so old. I'd rather stay home. Music camp is usually fun for me, I recently went to a intense violin camp, but it was really fun. 

I love that Edward Elric gif! Probably because FMA is like my favorite series next to Fairy Tail. 

What do you want for an art trade? Any preference? I will get started right away!
