No problem dude.
And I'll fully look at the Note tomorrow. It's just getting later here, so I don't want to forget about it.

I think I'm going make the next note part be a overview of the various races themselves. Like what the orcs and such are like.

Actually dude. I'm going make a separate note for the races, so that it can be better organized. Though I don't want to stop talking about both our stories. It's a lot of fun.

You bet! I haven't been able to look at the last note you sent me yet, but I did get it. (I should be able to get to it sometime tomorrow, at the very latest. It depends on how the rest of today goes.) Regardless, I look forward to it. And let me know if you have any thoughts on my stuff, too. I'm curious to hear what you think of my Orcs and whatnot.

Ok, that's great. Then you'll have two to read.
Though I'm just going to keep my other note just as a single overview of the races.
And no pressure about reading them, since I myself haven't been able to read your Flintlock Fantasy stuff yet, and I'm sorry for that. There's just never enough hours in the day. But I promise to get around to reading all of them. I even add them to my favorites.

Man, I hear you about not having enough hours in the day. Working full time while trying to plan a book series is tough! Anyway, I look forward to whatever you have to send my way!

Well, I'm sure you'll enjoy both of them.
And if I'm being completely honest, this whole thing was somewhat a spur of the moment thing.
Just after reading what you talked about with your whole fantasy story and all, I don't know, I guess it just ignited my imagination or something.

Then I'm all the more glad that I commented on the subject. For me, being able to "talk shop" with other people is a great way to come up with new ideas, improve older ones, and just have a lot of fun, so I'm always ready to do so. I just hope that my books will be as much fun to read as they have been for me to plan and write. People need to have stories that are fun. Too many franchises are taking themselves too seriously these days, it seems. Not that we shouldn't work hard to make good stories, of course, but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that the audience is coming to be entertained. As Brandon Sanderson puts it, "Er on the side of awesome."

I couldn't agree more.
Stories don't always need to be 100% super serious all the time.
Though I think it's also better to stick to the story that you want to tell and not just cave in and change a bunch of stuff because of what a few stupid people think.
You probably know what I'm talking about, but I won't get too into all that nonsense. But I do think that the way some franchises are going, they are either taking themselves too seriously, or allowing their stuff to be influenced by stupid people.
And I won't pretend that I'm secretly the world's greatest writer or anything, but it can some times be hard for someone to put the possibly good ideas they have down in writing, or typing. It can be hard to just sit down and write or type out the story you want to make, be it a fanfiction or just something of your very own.

Yeah, I've had to train myself to do a little writing every day, even if it's just a few paragraphs' worth of notes or nuggets of ideas. I believe that the folks at Writing Excuses call it the BICHOK technique: Butt In Chair Hands On Keyboard. The point is to develop the habit of writing on a regular basis. I can tell you from experience that if you keep at it, eventually you find it hard not to write. You also have to develop an ear that's receptive to helpful feedback but also able to tune out those who are as demanding as they are impossible to please. (Seriously, don't waste your time listening to grumbletonians. They'll never be happy no matter what you do. Screw 'em!)

Thanks dude.
I understand and greatly appreciate the advice and will continue to keep working on writing.
And I'm glad to see we both agree on those stupid people, aka SJWs. Those stupid people are never happy with anything.
Here's why

And even though it's about video games, at 19:08 pretty much sums up all of their nonsense in a nutshell, across any medium.
It's worth a laugh at least.
But I'm going to be trying to finish my race note ASAP without just making it a giant mess.

Take all the time you need, buddy! I'd rather have to wait for a well-written description of the races than a rushed one that's incoherent.
You know, when it comes to SJWs, there's one phrase I hear repeated often which has proven valid again and again and again: Get "woke," go broke. I've seen franchise after franchise run itself into the ground because the producers tried to shoehorn in a bunch of FDCs (Forced Diversity Characters,) ham-fisted messages that undermined the quality of the story, and then, when they were called out for not listening to what the audience wanted, the producers try to paint the critics as bigots, which only drove more people away from the franchise. But there's another reason why I won't be trying to appease SJWs: They aren't likely to buy my product, anyway. They'll demand that a video game, comic book, TV show, or film have certain types of characters or story elements, but then they won't actually give their money to it. Marvel Comics is losing money faster than a gambling addict in Vegas because SJWs don't buy comics, but by trying to appease them, the legitimate customers are being driven away. Yet this works to my advantage because it means there's a huge market of potential readers just waiting to be tapped. They're not getting the entertainment they want from the mainstream sources, which means they'll be looking for it from other sources. The best thing for me to do, therefore, is offer them the entertainment they want. And by giving them what they want, I get what I want: To be a full-time writer and make money doing it.
I've still got a ways to go, but I'm getting closer every day because I've developed the habit of working a bit on my writing every day. The plans for the Perdita Nightshade book series are really starting to come together now, so I know that once I get a few more of the setting details sorted out and set down an overall story arc for the series, I'll be able to get started on the books themselves. It's only a matter of time. And I know I can pull it off because, as you'll see in the video below, others have already:

I hear you brother.
These people are just stupid and most often than times have no idea what they're talking about.
And another thing those people don't seem to understand, is that they're turning their own characters and groups into token stereotypes, which is what they're tired of getting represented as. And it is funny how so many of those people cry out for people to be tolerant and accepting of others, then they turn around and try to force everyone else to agree with them and their point of view.
I spy the great Mountain of Irony!
But let's talk about something better.
I've seen that video, and while I do wish Shad would stop making so many videos bashing things in fantasy or sci-fi settings, I do respect him for making other good videos and I'm happy for him being able to make his dream come true.
And I wish you all the best as well when it comes to your story writing.

Yeah, I've had a relative who went so far as to tell me, "I have no tolerance for the intolerant." I was like, "But that makes you intolerant, you schmuck!" The hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness in some of these people is staggering but also kind of funny and entertaining. The way they hype up their stories and films only makes the failure of their projects all the more predictable, too. And what's hilarious is I'm planning a series about a female protagonist who could be labeled a "Strong, Independent Woman (TM)," yet I know they're probably going to hate Perdita because she doesn't go around bashing men enough or have an attitude like Captain Marvel did in her movie. I decided to write about Perdita because I was inspired by the image I made on Hero Forge:
I've since updated her design to this:
The point is, I saw this character and had to make a story about her. I don't have any agenda to push, I don't want to promote any message about "girl power" or anything like that, I just want to share this fun, quirky, sassy, swashbuckling Half-Orc adventurer with the world because she's awesome. I am having a blast with this character, but I suspect she's going to inspire plenty of women (and men) to strive to be better people. And Perdita's going to be teaming up with plenty of cool and interesting male characters in her adventures. At least one of them is a black guy, but he's not some stupid token character I wanted to inject to meet some quota. I was messing around with character designs in The Sims 4, hit random, and ended up with a black character who I thought looked interesting. I figured he'd be someone who would work great with Perdita. I'm calling him Quade Harbotle. He's going to be a Gun Mage. He's awesome. And the reason he's awesome is because I had fun making him, not because he's a worthless Forced Diversity Character. So, nobody had better complain that I'm not being "inclusive" enough with my cast of characters, because I have a kick-ass black man in a tricorn hat who uses magic guns to fight Monsters!

I can somewhat understand that realities' point of view.
Most of us are ok with people doing whatever, until it strays into actually hurting others in some way or another or when those people are being intolerant, like trying to force others to agree with them via things like shaming or force. I guess the closest thing I could compare it to is someone who doesn't put up with BS from people.
Stuff like if there's 10 people, and 9 of them are completely ok with normal thing X going on, but the 1 other person has a problem with it, but demand that it be changed just because they alone don't like it.
But good for you dude. Don't just make any of your characters token stereotypes because a bunch of stupid people cry about crap like "needed diversity".
I've always appreciated what women are capable of, but one thing I've always found funny that SJWs hate, is how . Men and women are different, and that's just a fact of life, and how you can actually make a strong female character without having to make her into a woman who just acts like a tough guy man. And it's kind of hilarious how much they hate when a woman is designed to be sexy or just attractive.
They dumbly think that just making a woman do whatever a man might do in a situation makes them strong. But I for one like women characters that are actually women, but a women character doesn't strictly need to be tomboyish or as tough as any many to be good.
Things like having a more tomboyish character like Perdita for instance, have moments where they act a little more girly or something. Maybe she meets a handsome human rogue who catches her eye or something. But that thing could done so many different ways that you could think of.
But I don't want to mess with your character too much, but I'm sure you get what I mean.
To make another example, you could have Perdita run into and possibly have to team up with an dark elf femme fatale character whose drop dead gorgeous, like almost 15 out of 10 or something. But she doesn't have to be a airhead or just some whore, she could know exactly how attractive she is and has learned how to use that to her advantage, still being very intelligent and capable.
After thinking of such an idea, now I want to see a fantasy based Oceans 13 or something where a team of men or women or mixed with each member being of a different race.

One of the things I'm hoping to do with the series is have Perdita interact with strong women who aren't warriors of any kind. After all, strength comes in many forms. There's strength of mind, strength of heart, strength of character, and so on. Perdita's going to meet housewives who she comes to admire for the strength and tenacity they have. Furthermore, Perdita herself has developed a strong "girly" side since I first conceived her. She likes pretty things and feeling pretty. And some of the male warrior types are going to have softer sides as well. A man can be very strong physically and still be kind and gentle. That's something else I want to explore which I don't think gets enough attention in a lot of fiction these days. Having a big Orc warrior comforting a small child, for example, is a way to show that there's more to being a protector than fighting.
I like the idea of a fantasy-style Oceans heist story. That's certainly something that's up Perdita's alley. So is her teaming up with a femme fatale is, too. Actually, having a femme fatale on the heist team would be logical, since that's an asset the team could use to its advantage. As for Perdita's romance prospects, I'm still working out the details, but the guy's probably going to be able to make the normally composed and poised Perdita very flustered and clumsy. Granted, I might have the roles get reversed once the dashing chap she falls for realizes he has feelings for her, too. Suddenly he's getting tongue-tied and tripping over himself. That could be a lot of fun!

Hey dude, I'm having to type this out on my mother's computer, since I'm having problems with DA on mine. It may be the fact that I'm still using Internet Explorer, but I'm not sure. And I live with my parents on their property because they're getting a little older and have some health issues, and I want to be able to help them.
But those do sound like some interesting things, and I'd say go for them.
And I do love the gentle giant characters. These beasts of men who look like they would (and probably could) rip someone's head off, only for them to be the most gentle and caring of individuals in the world.
And I do kind of like the idea of a guy who's usually always calm and in control getting flustered and tongue-tied around a woman like Perdita who's from a race or been around lots of people were warriors or otherwise people who need to be tough and strong in order to survived and all that jazz.
But I'm going to be trying to upgrade to Chrome, but I'm going to have to do a few things in the meantime to make ready for that.

Yo dude, you clearly need to understand that not everyone is going to share your same opinion. If you're going to keep being a jerk like that, then consider yourself blocked unless you can stop being an a**. I have never been part of this fandom, and you have just proved why. Either deal with the fact not everyone will agree with you, or leave this show alone, because you clearly don't understand its morals.
