# About me

H'lo, my name is Charly.

Nothing gives me as much pleasure as making art I think is good. I've always been that way: I can't remember a time ever that I wasn't passionate about it, even when I was 4 or 5. Both my parents are artists of sorts (both professional graphic designers - my mum is also a painter and my dad also makes films) so I guess I was doomed from birth, ha.

The sort of art that appeals to me and the sort I like to make is always fairly similar. I like clean lines and minimalism, but also art that manages to use the most intense colours but in a way that remains restrained and elegant: Inka Essenhigh is a prime example of someone who manages to do this, and it's a shame she isn't more famous than she is, because she's amazing.
