The secret is all in the amount of effort I put into it. Now that I have something (even a smidgen) of a fanbase made up of my dear friends, I have a bit more incentive to exceed previous expectations. The encouragement of friends can go an awful long way in a hobby. Just for the heck of it and since you mention it, when I get home I'll see if I can't upload the "Ancient Manuscript," which is my code name for the earliest comic I have intact (from first grade!).
